WEARABLE SCANNER
Some embodiments of the present disclosure provide a wearable scanner. The wearable scanner includes: a scanner body and a wearable portion. A wearing space for a user to wear is formed between the scanner body and the wearable portion; the wearable portion includes at least one adjusting section configured for adjusting a length of the wearable portion; the adjusting section includes a plurality of hole structures that are disposed in a circumferential direction of the wearable portion, and a plurality of air-permeable grooves formed by hole walls of the hole structures in a matching manner are provided on a surface of the adjusting section facing the wearing space.
Barcode scanner system with animated feedback
A system and method for providing animated feedback for a barcode scanning system may include receiving image data from a camera, processing the image data, detecting a machine-readable indicia in the image data, and attempting to decode the machine-readable indicia. In response to successfully decoding the machine-readable indicia, displaying a first animation indicative of successfully decoding the machine-readable indicia. Otherwise, in response to not successfully decoding the machine-readable indicia, displaying a second animation indicative of not successfully decoding the machine-readable indicia.
Low-profile wearable scanning device
A code reader may include a housing configured to be wearable by a user, a scanning unit configured to scan machine-readable indicia of a target area, a user interface connected to the housing and configured to present identification data associated with the machine-readable indicia to the user, a power source disposed within the housing, a processing unit disposed within the housing, and a plurality of electrical conductors in electrical communication with the processing unit and the user interface. The processing unit may be configured to communicate a scan signal to the scanning unit to cause the scanning unit to scan the target area, receive response data from the scanning unit representative of the machine-readable indicia, generate the identification data in response to receiving the response data, and communicate the identification data to the user interface for display thereon. The electrical conductors may provide power and enable signals to be communicated.
Wearable electronic device
A wearable electronic device includes: a reading section configured to read optical information; a display section configured to display information read by the reading section; and a mounting section having at least a part formed of a flexible member and configured to support the display section and the reading section, wherein the mounting section is wearable to an arm and is configured to be capable of fixing the display section to a radius of a forearm and the reading section to a back of a hand or a back of a finger.
Accuracy-enhanced scanner
According to a technique of accuracy-enhanced scanning, a scan target is illuminated responsive to recognizing an aiming initiation action. The scan target is scanned responsive to recognizing a scanning initiation action. The illuminating and the scanning are performable independently of each other.
Glove having electronic components and a flexible printed circuit board
A glove having a palm section, a dorsal section and an electrical device including at least one first component, one second component and a signal line. The first component is provided on the dorsal section and the second component is provided on a section of the glove that is different to the dorsal section. The signal line connects the components to each other electrically and includes a flexible printed circuit board with at least one conductor. The third component is provided on the palm section, on the dorsal section or on a lateral section of the glove, and the second component is provided at the location of the glove that rests on the index finger or the metacarpophalangeal joint of the index finger of a user's hand in the worn condition of the glove. Remotely managing a ring scanner device, and applications thereof
Embodiments position a barcode reader, or other optical detector, to scan upright barcodes when the user hand is in the neutral position. To do this, embodiments rest the body of the ring scanner device on top of the index finger, with the palm facing inward toward the users body. Embodiments have integrated interactivity, including a touchscreen display and separate buttons that can be used to operate the optical detector and input data into an integrated computing device. The integrated computing device can run software applications on board the ring scanner device. Finally, the integrated computing device can be remotely managed.
Voting based proximity detection and ranging
A method for proximity detection and ranging with neighboring devices is described here. The method includes identifying, by a processor of a first tag, a second tag from a group of tags within a predefined range of the first tag. The method further comprises initiating, by the processor, transmission of a packet to the second tag in the group of tags identified within the predefined range. The method further comprises, in response to the transmission of the packet, receiving, by the processor, a response packet from the second tag. The method includes in response to receiving the response packet, determining a tag distance between the first tag and second tag. The method includes determining that the tag distance associated with the second tag is less than a predefined distance, generating, by the processor, an alarm or notification to the first tag indicating that the predefined distance is crossed.
Data capture device
A data capture device includes: a primary housing supporting a data capture assembly and having inner and outer surfaces joined by a perimeter wall; and a mounting accessory coupled to the inner surface. The mounting accessory mounts the device on an operator index finger in either of: a side-mounted mode in which the primary housing is between the index finger and a thumb; and a top-mounted mode, in which the primary housing is on a back of the index finger. The device includes an accessory trigger on the mounting accessory and a primary trigger supported on the outer surface. In the top-mounted mode, the accessory trigger is between the index finger and the thumb, for activation by the thumb. In the side-mounted mode, the primary trigger is disposed on the side of the index finger for activation by the thumb of the operator.
Reading system and camera
A reading system includes a portable information terminal configured to recognize information in a symbol on the basis of an acquired image, and a wearable camera that functions as a peripheral device for the portable information terminal. The camera has an image sensor configured to generate the image, and is configured to transmit the generated image to the portable information terminal.
