Scanning device assemblies including scanning devices and associated bases. An example scanning device assembly includes a scanning device including a housing, an optical imaging assembly disposed in the housing, and a base. The optical imaging assembly having an imaging field of view (FOV). The optical imaging assembly configured to capture one or more images of an environment appearing within the FOV. The base includes a base coupling portion to mate with a housing portion of the scanning device for supporting the scanning device during operation. The scanning device assembly includes a magnetic-rotational coupling formed between the scanning device and the base and allowing the scanning device to rotate relative to the base, while the base maintains support of the scanning device.
Digital barcode reader
A barcode reader assembly for capturing at least one object appearing in a field of view (FOV) is provided that includes a reader, a gear member, and a stand. The reader includes a reader enclosure having a top portion and a bottom portion which forms a base. The gear member includes a gear member coupling portion, and is mechanically coupled to the bottom portion of the reader enclosure. The stand includes a platform and a platform coupling portion. The gear member coupling portion is mechanically coupled to the platform coupling portion such that the reader is rotatable relative to the stand.
Scanning Devices and Methods to Constrain Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) Signals Within a Physical Location
Scanning devices, and related methods, for constraining RFID signals within a physical location are disclosed. An example scanning device includes a housing, an identification tag reader in the housing, the identification tag reader having an active mode in which the identification tag reader is configured to identify tags within a detection region about the housing and determine identification data for the identified tags, and the identification tag reader having an inactive mode in which the identification tag reader is prevented from detecting tags within the detection region, and a detector in the housing configured to detect a presence of a control item in an environment, the identification tag reader in the active mode when the control item is detected in the environment, and the identification tag reader in the inactive mode if the presence of the control item is not been detected.
Digital Barcode Reader
A barcode reader assembly for capturing at least one object appearing in a field of view (FOV) is provided that includes a reader and a stand. The reader includes a reader enclosure having a top portion and a bottom portion and a reader base including a curved base surface. The bottom portion of the reader enclosure is mechanically coupled to the reader base. The stand includes a platform and a wall extending therefrom in a generally upward direction. The reader base is mechanically coupled to the stand such that the reader is rotatable relative to the stand.
SPLIT-TYPE CODE READING APPARATUS
The present specification provides a two-part code reading apparatus, including: a supporting base with a reading window that comprises: a cavity formed in the supporting base; a reflector disposed on one side of the cavity, wherein the reflector is parallel to a flat surface when the supporting base is placed on the flat surface; a translucent plate that covers an opening of the cavity and forms an acute angle with the reflector; and a hole disposed on a side of the cavity opposite to the reflector, the hole allows light to pass through; and a handheld code scanner with a camera, wherein the camera is aligned with the hole when the handheld code scanner is detachably placed on the supporting base, so that incoming light reflected by the reflector is capable of being directed to the camera through the hole.
STAND THAT ENABLES A MOBILE DEVICE TO READ BARCODES IN PRESENTATION MODE
A presentation stand for enabling a mobile device to read barcodes in presentation mode includes a cradle portion that is connected to the base portion. The cradle portion is configured to hold the mobile device in a position for reading a barcode. A shield portion is attached to the cradle portion and configured to modify a field of view of a camera of the mobile device. The shield portion is also configured to modify a field of illumination of an illumination source of the mobile device. The shield portion includes a camera optic system that is at least partially aligned with the camera of the mobile device when the mobile device is held in the cradle portion. The shield portion also includes an illumination optic system that is at least partially aligned with the illumination source of the mobile device when the mobile device is held in the cradle portion.
Apparatus for reading information
An information reader includes a reader main unit and a case. The case houses therein an inner pad serving as an electrostatic capacity type of switch used by an operator to enable an information reading unit to read information. The inner pad is assembled within the case to be directed toward a touch detection region of the case. A switch unit, which is separated from the reader main unit, is provided with a touch electrode pad to which electrical charge is applied in response to an operator's touch operation, a wiring line one of whose both ends is electrically connected to the touch electrode pad, and a transmission pad to which the other end is electrically connected. The transmission pad is assembled with the case on the outer surface thereof.
Industrial digital barcode scanner
A barcode scanner assembly for capturing at least one object appearing in a field of view (FOV) is provided that includes a base defining a curved base surface and a scanner enclosure being mechanically coupled to the base. The scanner enclosure includes a top portion and a bottom portion opposite the top portion. The bottom portion of the scanner enclosure is positioned proximate to the base. The bottom portion of the scanner enclosure includes a curved scanner enclosure surface. The curved base surface and the curved scanner enclosure surface are nested such that a clearance of less than approximately 5 mm is formed between the curved base surface and the curved scanner enclosure surface.
Scan cube characteristics
A barcode reader is provided. The barcode reader comprises an imaging assembly having a field of view (FOV) extending along one or more horizontal planes and a housing of the imaging assembly, the housing being a cuboid shape having six sides.
