TRANSACTION SYSTEM AND METHOD
A system and method for facilitating transactions using a tokenization process. A user's primary account number (PAN) may be provided by first generating an optically scannable code that can be delivered in a message to a user device, such as via SMS. The code is scanned by a reader associated with a merchant terminal and processed, e.g. via a one-way cryptographic hash, into a processing token such as a Bank Identification Number (BIN) range token. The processing token can be stored in a token vault in association with the PAN. During a transaction, the user scans their code at a reader associated with a merchant terminal. The merchant terminal manipulates the code into a processing token which is then passed into a transaction network for conversion into the PAN and subsequent transaction processing. The system is able to provide both financial transactions and loyalty program accounting using the tokenization methods.
Synchronous interfacing with unaffiliated networked systems to alter functionality of sets of electronic assets
Systems and methods for managing a set of electronic assets from a single location are disclosed. The method includes providing a portal with a network security access control. The method includes determining that login credentials input to the access control are associated with a set of electronic assets corresponding to a plurality of third-party computing systems with application programming interface (API) gateways configured to accept an API call directed to changes in functionality of the electronic assets. The method includes presenting, via the portal, a virtual icon to identify a coordinated action with respect to the set of electronic assets and, in response to a selection of the virtual icon, executing a set of API calls that include an asset-specific API call to each third-party computing system in the plurality of third-party computing systems to implement the coordinated action on all electronic assets in the set of electronic assets.
Multi-dimensional cyclic symbols
An example system to represent data with multi-dimensional cyclic symbols is provided. The system includes a representation engine, a symbol engine, and a translation engine. The representation engine is to provide a plurality of display symbols. Display symbols are selected from a set of multi-dimensional cyclic symbols. The symbol engine is to receive a plurality of received symbols. The translation engine is to convert the plurality of received symbols into a plurality of display symbols.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR PROVIDING PROCESS PROTOCOLS FOR PHYSICAL OBJECTS
A method of providing process protocols for physical objects, which pass through several production/processing stations in a production/processing line, is provided. In such a method, machine-readable data for uniquely identifying an object are assigned to the object, a reading means is arranged at a production/processing station, by which machine-readable data can be read, a time stamp is assigned to the data, and a process protocol is generated from the machine-readable data, an assignment of the data to the station and/or to the reading means and the time stamp. Each data set describes a process step of a process, and comprises at least a first attribute, in which a unique identification of a process is stored, a second attribute, in which an identification of the process step is stored, and a third attribute, in which a sequence of the process steps within a process is stored.
A nonwoven material having encoded information, a method for encoding information on a nonwoven material and a system for using same
A nonwoven is provided having a pattern displaying at least two groups of areas having different optical properties distinguishable to reading and decoding equipment. The pattern may be arise from differences in the microstructure of the web. The nonwoven material may have an embossed pattern having a basic, static component and a dynamic component which varies within a given length of the nonwoven web. Further, a method is provided for obtaining information from a nonwoven web, comprising observing the web surface using an optical reading device, collecting data based on differences in optical properties in the web surface, storing in a digital memory a pattern based on the collected data and comparing the stored pattern to a collection of previously stored patterns.
Package identification using graphics on shipping labels
Embodiments herein describe design techniques for generating a fingerprint for a shipping label using symbols or bit segments. These symbols or bit segments can be read using lower resolution cameras at greater distances than 1D or 2D barcodes in the shipping labels. In one embodiment, a label designer identifies blank zones in the design of a shipping label and selects symbols to place in those zones. The label designer can select random types of symbols and random sizes for those symbols. When reading the shipping label, a CV system can identify the symbols and their sizes and generate the fingerprint. In another embodiment, the label designer places bit segments in the identified blank zones. The CV system can then read the blank zones in a predefined order and merge the bits segments to form a digital fingerprint for the shipping label.
ARCHITECTURAL DATABASE TAG ASSEMBLY AND METHOD FOR INSTALLING ARCHITECTURAL DATABASE TAG ASSEMBLY
An architectural database tag assembly includes an architectural database tag containing indicia related to information about architecture of the building; and a membrane for attaching the architectural database tag to a surface of the building. Another architectural database tag assembly includes a tubular member comprising a central bore extending along an axis of the tubular member, and comprising a top surface, bottom surface, and at least one side surface between the top surface and the bottom surface; an architectural database tag to be attached to the top surface of the tubular member, the architectural database tag containing indicia related to information about architecture of the building; and a membrane for attaching the bottom surface of the tubular member to a surface of the building. The architectural database tag provides vital information about the architecture of a building, and is readily accessible and readable by persons seeking such information.
System for Presenting a Collection of Objects for Both in Person and Internet Review
A system for presenting a collection of objects including a database of images for each of the collection of objects and a computer in data communications with the database. The system also includes a plurality of tags respectively associated with each of the collection of objects and data associated with each of the collection of objects both of which are stored in the database together with the corresponding image. Further, the system has a mosaic created as an array of at least some of the images from each of the collection of objects. The computer includes software that is configured to receive an image selection from an array position of the mosaic or one of the plurality of tags and to retrieve and transmit the corresponding image and data from the database for display.
Authentication system
The present invention is directed to an authenticating apparatus, system and a method for authentication of an object or product having a secure glyph thereon. The invention is also directed to the use of the object or product in a machine wherein the secure glyph has an intellectual property protected feature and a machine readable feature.
CHIPLESS RFID TAG USING HYBRID CODING
Embodiments described herein include a chipless patterned conductor, comprising one or more glyphs. Each glyph comprises a disk and a ring structure including at least one ring surrounding the disk. One or more of a spacing between the disk and the at least one ring and a width of the at least one ring is configured to determine a characteristic resonant frequency of the glyph. At least one notch is disposed in at least one of the disk and at least one ring of the ring structure.
