Communication system, control method for electronic device and communication system, and computer-readable storage medium
A communication system includes a first electronic device and at least one second electronic device. The second electronic device has a communication function section having a function for performing communication and an identification image presentation section which provides, at a position that can be captured from outside, an identification image having device information including the type of a communication standard for the communication to be performed by the communication function section. The first electronic device has a control section and a display section, and the control section acquires the device information from a captured image of the identification image, and causes a combination image that is a combination of an image of the second electronic device and image information correspond to the device information to be displayed on the display section.
Identification method, identification system, matching device, and program
The present invention addresses the problem of acquiring information regarding a component or product and identifying said component or product easily and inexpensively. The present invention has an image-feature storage, an extracting means, an acquiring means, and an identifying means. The image-feature storage stores image features of texture patterns formed on components or products. The extracting means extracts an n-dimensional-symbol image and a texture-pattern image from a taken image containing at least the following: an n-dimensional symbol (n being a natural number) that represents information regarding a component, a product, or a product comprising said component; and a texture pattern formed on said component or product. The acquiring means acquires, from the extracted n-dimensional-symbol image, the aforementioned information regarding the component or product. The identifying means identifies the component, product, or component-comprising product by matching image features of the extracted texture-pattern image against the image features stored by the image-feature storage.
Loopback mode for bypassing a camera of an apparatus
A method may include receiving, at a mobile device, a request to capture an image. In response to the request to capture the image, the mobile device may determine whether a camera of the mobile device is in a loopback mode to bypass the camera. In response to the camera being in the loopback mode, the mobile device may capture the image by generating a screenshot of a display associated with the mobile device. Alternatively, in response to the camera not being in the loopback mode, the mobile device may allow the camera at the apparatus to capture the image. Related systems and articles of manufacture, including computer program products, are also provided.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PERFORMING PAYMENT TRANSACTIONS USING INDICIA-BASED ASSOCIATIONS BETWEEN USER INTERFACES
Systems and methods are disclosed for performing payment transactions using indicia-based associations between two or more user interfaces. One method includes: receiving transaction information related to a user's selection of goods or services from a merchant; generating an indicia encoding the transaction information related to the selected goods or services, the merchant, and the transaction amount; transmitting the indicia to be displayed, and to enable a user interface of a first user device to scan the indicia and extract the transaction information; receiving from the first user device, an authorization to process the payment transaction using a mobile payment source; and if sufficient resources exist in the mobile payment source: generating and transmitting a low value token to the merchant indicating the authorization of the payment transaction, wherein the low value token conceals the information related to the mobile payment source; and processing the transaction using the mobile payment source.
INFORMATION PROCESSING SYSTEM, AREA DETERMINATION METHOD, AND MEDIUM
An information processing system, which determines a partial area used in an erectness determination which determines whether a determination target image is erect based on a determination feature in the partial area in an image having a predetermined format and a position of the partial area in a state in which the image having the predetermined format is erect, includes processor to receive input of a plurality of learning images having the predetermined format, extract area common to the plurality of learning images in an erect state as a candidate for the partial area, determine common area reliability indicative of a degree to which the candidate for the partial area is suitable as the partial area used in the erectness determination, and determine the partial area used in the erectness determination from the candidate for the partial area, based on the common area reliability.
MANAGEMENT ASSISTANCE DEVICE, MANAGEMENT SYSTEM, AND NON-TRANSITORY RECORDING MEDIUM
A management assistance device includes circuitry that receives, from a communication terminal used by a user, user identification information identifying the user and resource identification information identifying a specific resource that is used by the user. The specific resource is a resource other than resources whose reservations are managed by a reservation management device. The circuitry further transmits, to an administrator terminal used by an administrator who manages the user, user information and location information. The user information indicates a user name of the user who uses the specific resource and is identified by the user identification information. The location information indicates a location of the specific resource identified by the resource identification information.
Localization of machine-readable indicia in digital capture systems
The present disclosures relates to finding or localizing machine readable indicia (e.g., a barcode or digital watermark) in imagery. One claim recites an apparatus comprising: memory for buffering blocks of image data, the image data having been captured with a camera and depicting a printed object; one or more processors programmed for: generating an edge orientation sensitive feature set from the image data; using a first trained classifier to determine whether the feature set includes data representing a barcode; and using N additional trained classifiers to determine an orientation angle associated with the barcode, wherein N comprises an integer greater than 3, and wherein the orientation angle is selected based on a probability metric. Of course, other claims and combinations are provided too.
Multi-part code system
A method includes receiving, by a network computing device of a multi-part code system, interaction information from one or more of a first and a second computing device regarding an interaction between the first and second computing devices. The method further includes generating a first and second portion of a code that are unusable individually. Alignment of the first and second portions of the code optically produces the code representative of the interaction information. A network application of the one or more of the first and second computing devices is operable to capture the optically produced code. The method further includes sending the first and second portions of the code to one or more of the first and second computing devices. When the optically produced code has been captured, the method further includes finalizing, by an interaction finalization module of the network computing device, the interaction.
Profile based augmented reality applications based on information tags
A tag positioned on an object provides information for selecting augmented reality (AR) content that is based, at least in part, on a user profile or other user information. The tag may be utilized to transmit messages between users where AR content can be integrated into the message and presented upon scanning and processing of the tag. The AR content may also be related to user interests or real time user information, such as user location. The user may interact with the AR content to retrieve additional information, which provides an improved customer experience and improved integration into a provider ecosystem.
Systems And Methods For Reading Machine-Readable Marks On Racks And Receptacles
A method of reading machine-readable marks on a movable support and object of a sample instrument. The method includes capturing a first image of the moveable support as the moveable support moves from a first position to a second position using an image capture device; determining whether a first fiducial machine-readable mark on the moveable support is in the first image; determining, when the first fiducial machine-readable mark is in the first image, whether a first machine-readable mark on a first object coupled to the moveable support is in the first image at a predetermined position relative to the first fiducial machine-readable mark; and associating information decoded from the first machine-readable mark on the first object with a first location on the moveable support associated with the first fiducial machine-readable mark.
