Application developers can request to have their applications registered for use with a content delivery platform. The operator of the content delivery platform establishes perimeters defining geographic areas, and maintains records reserving particular areas for delivery of content associated with particular sponsors. Registered applications running on mobile devices can request content from the content delivery platform. Based at least in part on the request, the content delivery platform can identify a target location, which may be the location of the mobile device, or some other location indicated in the request. A mobile device can be provided content based on the relationship of the target location to the geographic areas, so that a registered application running on a mobile device with a target location contained within a geographic area assigned to a particular sponsor will receive content related to that sponsor.

The system may then automatically find and retrieve geo-identified URL data corresponding to the businesses near the geo-identification area of the user computing device. Further, the system may automatically deliver the geo-identified URL data to the user computing device for access, wherein direct access includes geo-identified URL data viewable on the user computing device and is selectable to open a web browser on the user computing device directly to the URL of the business or location area.

An impression estimation system for estimating visual impressions of a plurality of vehicles configured with exterior graphic messaging. A mobile device application of each of a plurality of mobile devices associated with the plurality of vehicles generates vehicle mobility data. A computational platform includes a processor and program code which, when executed by the processor, causes the processor to, with respect to each vehicle of the plurality of vehicles: (i) identify, using the vehicle mobility data, one or more of the road segments in which the vehicle was present; (ii) estimate, using the traffic volume data, a number of potential visual impressions of the vehicle within the road segments; (iii) determine an estimated number of visual impressions; (iv) generate visual impression information based at least in part upon the estimated number of visual impressions; and (v) cause display of the visual impression information.
