Home monitoring and control
Various arrangements for monitoring and control applications are presented. A television receiver may be configured to monitor sensor reading and or provide signals to control units for monitoring and home automation applications.
MULTIMEDIA PLAYING SYSTEM FOR AUTOMATICALLY NOTIFYING ABNORMAL SITUATIONS AND INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD OF THE SAME
A multimedia playing system for automatically notifying abnormal situations has a TV dongle and a network security camera connected to the TV dongle through network. The TV dongle has an email processing server module. The network security camera has an email transmitting module. When the network security camera detects an abnormal situation, an event message is transmitted to the email processing server module. The email processing server module accordingly generates a command. According to the command, the TV dongle transmits a control signal to control a digital TV to immediately display the abnormal situation. Therefore, the multimedia playing system automatically informs a user of the occurrence of the normal situation.
Mobile autonomous surveillance
Various embodiments relate to creating and utilizing a vehicle surveillance network to monitor objects and/or events. Messages may be broadcasted from at least one communication system of a surveillance network which is communicating with one or more vehicles of the surveillance network and received in a vehicle. Instructions may be transmitted to at least one vehicle camera to capture one or more images of objects or events outside of the vehicle in response to receiving the at least one broadcasted message. At least one vehicle camera in each of the vehicles of the surveillance network may capture the images of the object and/or events. Further instructions may include transmitting the captured images from the one or more vehicles to one or more event responders.
SURVEILLANCE METHOD AND SYSTEM
A method for surveillance of a predetermined region comprises the following steps: a) preparing at least one surveillance device provided with a sensor configured to detect moving entities in a predetermined region under surveillance; b) preparing at least one remote control device which can be carried by a user; c) detecting a moving entity in the predetermined region under surveillance, by means of said surveillance device; d) sending, by the surveillance device, of a request for authorization; e) responding, by the remote control device, to said request for authorization by sending authorization data; f) comparing said authorization data with check data for authorizing the entity detected if the result of said check is positive; g) making available an alarm signal if the result of said check is negative or inhibiting said alarm signal if the result of said check is positive.
SMART TRACKING VIDEO RECORDER
Various systems and methods for processing video are described herein. A system comprises a storage device; a processor; and a memory, including instructions, which when executed on the processor, cause the processor to: receive a time interval, the time interval divided into a plurality of segments; access from the storage device, a plurality of video clips, each of the plurality of video clips including a timestamp; for each of the plurality of segments in the time interval, determine a candidate video clip of the plurality of video clips, the candidate video clip including a subject in the candidate video clip; compose an output video that includes the candidate video clip of each segment of the plurality of segments; and output the output video to a display.
Portable terminal having video surveillance apparatus, video surveillance method using the portable terminal, and video surveillance system
Provided is an image surveillance method and apparatus. The image surveillance method includes photographing a predetermined place and generating an image signal corresponding to the predetermined place, detecting a change in the image signal by calculating a difference between a current frame and a previous frame of the generated image signal, and generating alarm information corresponding to the detected change in the image signal in order to alarm a user.
INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS, CONTROL METHOD, AND PROGRAM
An information processing apparatus (2000) detects a stationary object from video data (12). In addition, the information processing apparatus (2000) executes person detection process of detecting a person in vicinity of an object (target object) detected as the stationary object for each of a plurality of video frames (14) which includes the target object. Furthermore, the information processing apparatus (2000) executes a predetermined process by comparing results of the person detection process for each of the plurality of video frames (14)
MOBILE SURVEILLANCE APPARATUS, PROGRAM, AND CONTROL METHOD
Provided is a technique for enhancing operability of a mobile apparatus. An information processing apparatus (2000) includes a first processing unit (2020), a second processing unit (2040), and a control unit (2060). The first processing unit (2020) generates information indicating an event detection position in accordance with a position on a surveillance image set in a first operation. The first operation is an operation with respect to the surveillance image displayed on a display screen. The second processing unit (2040) performs a display change process with respect to the surveillance image or a window including the surveillance image. The control unit (2060) causes any one of the first processing unit (2020) and the second processing unit (2040) to process the first operation on the basis of a second operation.
Storage System and Method for Object Monitoring
A storage system and method for object monitoring/anticipation in surveillance systems are provided. In one embodiment, a storage system is provided comprising a memory and a controller. The controller is configured to identify positions of an object in a plurality of frames of video data provided by a video capture device; determine a rate of movement of the object based on the identified positions; and based on the determined rate of movement of the object, provide a suggestion to the video capture device to dynamically modify an encoding bit rate of the video data to improve video quality of the object. Other embodiments are provided.
DAZZLING SYSTEM COUPLED TO A CAMERA MOUNTED IN A FIXED LOCATION
A non-lethal dazzling turret includes a laser operable in the visible spectrum. The non-lethal dazzling turret can be deployed, for example, behind a counter at a convenience store or a gas station, and can include a camera as well as an on-board computer. The non-lethal dazzling turret can stream video to a remote location where an operator can aim and fire the non-lethal dazzling turret at potential targets as needed. Alternatively, a fully autonomous version is disclosed that can be activated by, for example, a panic button.
