A method for recognizing persons in video streams includes obtaining a live video stream, detecting a first person in the live video stream, determining from analysis of the live video stream first information that identifies an attribute of the first person, determining based on at least some of the first information that the first person is not identifiable to the computing system, storing at least some of the first information, receiving a user classification of the first person as being a stranger, and deleting the stored first information.

INMATE TRACKING SYSTEM IN A CONTROLLED ENVIRONMENT

A monitoring system and a method for operating the monitoring system in an inmate tracking system in a controlled environment is disclosed. The monitoring system receives video and audio data from devices located within the controlled environment and organizes the video and audio data within profiles that allow for searches of the video and audio to be performed. The monitoring system analyzes the video and audio data and generates the profiles to include identified objects associated with the video and audio data.

Nanosatellite-based property monitoring

Methods, systems, and apparatus for nanosatellite-based property monitoring are disclosed. A method includes receiving satellite data related to conditions of a property monitored by a monitoring system; determining, based on the satellite data, that the property is at risk from a threat; requesting, from a sensor of the monitoring system, sensor data related to the threat; receiving, from the sensor, the sensor data related to the threat; and based on analyzing the sensor data related to the threat, performing one or more monitoring system actions. The threat may include one of a weather hazard, a security hazard, or a property damage hazard. The monitoring system actions can include sending an instruction to adjust a sensor or component of the monitoring system and can include sending, to a user device, a notification that the property is at risk from the threat.

TECHNIQUES FOR VIDEO ANALYTICS OF CAPTURED VIDEO CONTENT

Techniques for video analytics of captured video content are described. An apparatus may comprise a flash memory, a serial bus, and a processor circuit coupled to the flash memory and the serial bus. The processor circuit may comprise a multi-core central processing unit (CPU) and an integrated graphics processing unit (GPU). The processor circuit may receive captured video content via a local communication link, perform video analytics on the captured video content; and send data associated with the performed video analytics to a network interface, for communication to a remote device via a network communication link. Other examples are described and claimed.

The disclosure includes a security system including an outdoor security device. In some embodiments, the outdoor security device comprises a housing, a light coupled to the housing and located within a hollow inner portion of the housing, and a camera and a lens coupled to the housing. In some embodiments, the security device comprises at least one directional microphone communicatively coupled to the camera and configured to determine a location of a detected sound whereby the camera performs a frame lock to capture an image associated with the detected sound.

Artificial intuition based visual data extraction for distributed systems

Disclosed herein are methods and systems for visually identifying anomaly events, comprising an edge node configured for applying a limited resources classifier to a plurality of images captured by imaging sensor(s) deployed to monitor a certain scene relating to a certain area to classify object(s) detected in the images, applying a trained context based Machine Learning (ML) model to classification data generated by the limited resources classifier to compute an anomaly score for potential anomaly event(s) relating to the detected object(s) based on one or more contextual attributes associated with the certain scene and transmitting one or more of the images to a remote server in case the anomaly score exceeds a threshold. The remote server is configured to further apply high performance visual analysis tool(s) to visually analyze the received image(s) in order to identify the one or more potential anomaly events.

Processing of surveillance video streams using image classification and object detection

Systems and methods for processing surveillance video streams using image classification and object detection are described. Video data from a video image sensor may be processed using an image classifier to determine whether an object type is present in a video frame. If the object type is present, the video frame and/or subsequent video frames may be processed using an object detector to provide additional object data, such as position information, for use in other video surveillance processes. In some examples, an event message may be generated and sent to a video surveillance application in response to selective object detection.

VIRTUAL SENSORS
20220284708 · 2022-09-08 ·

Virtual sensor technology, in which a camera is controlled to capture at least one configuration image of an area monitored by a monitoring system and input is received that defines one or more characteristics of the at least one configuration image that enable sensing of an event in the area. Based on the received input, configuration data used in sensing the event is generated and stored. After storage of the configuration data, the camera is controlled to capture one or more images of the area, the one or more images are analyzed based on the configuration data, and occurrence of the event is detected based on the analysis of the one or more images. Based on detecting occurrence of the event, a transmitting device is controlled to send, to a controller of the monitoring system, a signal that indicates the detection of the occurrence of the event.
