POINT-OF-SALE TERMINAL WITH INTEGRATED EMERGENCY SERVICES REQUEST CAPABILITY
A point-of-sale terminal is used to process purchases by a customer during normal operation. However, the point-of-sale terminal also may receive, aggregate and/or process information measured by sensors that are co-located with or in the vicinity of the point-of-sale terminal. The point-of-sale terminal may receive information from at least one sensor that indicates that the at least one sensor has sensed a measureable parameter that is outside of a threshold range; establish at least one communication channel with at least one third-party based on the indication that the at least one sensor has sensed a measureable parameter that is outside of the threshold range; and send to the at least one third party at least one communication relating to the at least one sensor indicating that the at least one sensor has sensed a measureable parameter that is outside of the threshold range.

SURVEILLANCE CONTROL DEVICE, SURVEILLANCE SYSTEM, SURVEILLANCE METHOD, AND RECORDING MEDIUM
The disclosure is receiving first information regarding occurrence of an anomalous event and a position of occurrence of the anomalous event; receiving, through wireless communication, information for identifying one or more portable communication terminals being present in a specific area including the position of occurrence; pinpointing, from among the portable communication terminals and based on the position of occurrence and the information for identifying, a portable communication terminal to which an information provision demand regarding the position of occurrence is to be transmitted; transmitting the information provision demand to the portable communication terminal; and receiving, from the portable communication terminal, second information regarding the occurrence of the anomalous event and the position of occurrence of the anomalous event, the second information being related to the information provision demand.
Video streaming user interface with data from multiple sources
A management server receives a request to view video content; access a stream of video content corresponding to the request; access and store, in one or more databases, metadata associated with the video content, wherein the metadata includes a plurality of detections and was generated by the video gateway device based on an analysis of the video content and previously uploaded to a remote computing device; generating and causing display of a user interface that includes: the stream of the video content, a seek bar configured to be manipulated by a user so that the user can navigate through the video content, and the metadata overlaid on the seek bar such that the plurality of detections are overlaid at locations on the seek bar corresponding to when the plurality of detections were detected.
SURVEILLANCE AND MONITORING SYSTEM
A method and system provides centralized redundant monitoring suitable for effectively recording and tracking video monitoring systems at a plurality of remote surveillance locations. The method and system are configured to track, monitor, capture, and record video originating from transportation vehicles using a novel technological configuration that minimizes overall and sub-system downtime relative to conventional technologies. The remote surveillance locations are capable of utilizing self-healing and recovery mechanisms and reporting status information to the centralized monitoring system. The centralized monitoring system can use information received from the remote surveillance locations to remotely monitor the status of the remote surveillance systems, to initiate remotely self-healing and recovery mechanisms, and request previously recorded surveillance data and live surveillance data in real time.
PERFORMANCE-GUARANTEED CHANNEL ACCESS CONTROL FOR SECURITY ALARM AND IMAGE SENSORS
A method for implementing an image data communication protocol by a panel is provided. The panel is communicatively coupled over a wireless network to alarm sensors and image sensors. The panel requests, under the image data communication protocol, image data from the image sensor by sending an image request packet to the image sensor. The panel receives, under the image data communication protocol, image data as an image data packet from the image sensor.
Systems and methods for modifying fast-forward speeds based on the user's reaction time when detecting points of interest in content
Systems and methods are described for modifying a fast-forwarding speed based on a reaction time of a user when a frame of interest is detected. A media guidance application may receive a command from a user to fast-forward through a media asset and may execute a fast-forwarding operation through frames of the media asset. The media guidance application may detect that the fast-forwarding operation is approaching a frame of interest to the viewer. The media guidance application may reduce the fast-forwarding speed to a second speed slower than the first speed, where the second speed is determined based on an estimated reaction time of the user. The media guidance application may receive a command to resume playback from the user while the fast-forwarding operation is occurring at the second speed and may play back the media asset at a default playback speed from a point corresponding to a moment when the command was received.
Method for controllably sharing private video streams with selected public service agencies
A video surveillance service server shares image streams with first responder agencies in the event of emergency. Nominated agencies establish access credentials at the surveillance service data center. A camera is shared by a customer administrator's selection of permissions on each camera via privileged web-browser or mobile device. Permissions enable selection by static meta data such as type, audio, location, motion, recognition, PTZR, spectrum, and epoch. Video streams of present and past epochs are controlled by ranges of time. A responding agency receives an electronic notification from the administrator to present their access credential and a handle for each shared camera of interest. A notification is customized for each responding agency and each event by dynamically generating a link to a secure webserver which records geo-location or network identifiers for validation. Video servers include virtual machines dedicated to each responding agency under control by a customer administrator.
