The device programming files and/or the decryption keys may be received via a network transfer and/or via a machine-readable media from an e-commerce vendor.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR MODIFYING FAST-FORWARD SPEEDS BASED ON THE USER'S REACTION TIME WHEN DETECTING POINTS OF INTEREST IN CONTENT
20200359100 · 2020-11-12 ·

Systems and methods are described for modifying a fast-forwarding speed based on a reaction time of a user when a frame of interest is detected. A media guidance application may receive a command from a user to fast-forward through a media asset and may execute a fast-forwarding operation through frames of the media asset. The media guidance application may detect that the fast-forwarding operation is approaching a frame of interest to the viewer. The media guidance application may reduce the fast-forwarding speed to a second speed slower than the first speed, where the second speed is determined based on an estimated reaction time of the user. The media guidance application may receive a command to resume playback from the user while the fast-forwarding operation is occurring at the second speed and may play back the media asset at a default playback speed from a point corresponding to a moment when the command was received.

3D monitoring of sensors physical location in a reduced bandwidth platform
10825310 · 2020-11-03 · ·

Systems and methods for controlling the recording, storing and transmitting of video content captured by security cameras in order to drastically reduce the overall bandwidth required to remotely monitor a physical space. More specifically, embodiments of the present invention relate to a method of triggering or activating a video camera to record and/or transmit images of a physical environment over a network only when measurements taken by a separate structural sensor camera or depth-sensing device indicate that sufficient physical changes have occurred in the environment to warrant video recording. Embodiments of the invention pair video cameras with structural depth sensors, along with enhanced on-board processing techniques, to increase the recording and transmitting efficiency of video cameras by recording and/or transmitting video streams only when something in the physical environment monitored by a depth sensor is determined to have changed or moved, or is determined by processing algorithms to be important or significant. A security function and a library of image processing analytics are also disclosed for processing static and dynamic image states within the measured physical space.

Method and system for cloud storage of video, and method and system for previewing cloud—stored video

Disclosed are a method and system for cloud storage of a video, and method and system for previewing a cloud-stored video. The method for the cloud storage of the video includes: after receiving a video recording plan issued by a platform, a management server determines a target storage device according to a load balancing policy, and issues the video recording plan to the target storage device; the target storage device obtains and stores, according to the video recording plan, a video stream from a front-end device corresponding to the video recording plan; when the target storage device is not able to obtain the video stream from the front-end device, the target storage device sends an alarm to the management server; and after receiving the alarm, the management server issues the video recording plan to other storage devices according to the load balancing policy.

Surveillance and monitoring system

A method and system provides centralized redundant monitoring suitable for effectively recording and tracking video monitoring systems at a plurality of remote surveillance locations. The method and system are configured to track, monitor, capture, and record video originating from transportation vehicles using a novel technological configuration that minimizes overall and sub-system downtime relative to conventional technologies. The remote surveillance locations are capable of utilizing self-healing and recovery mechanisms and reporting status information to the centralized monitoring system. The centralized monitoring system can use information received from the remote surveillance locations to remotely monitor the status of the remote surveillance systems, to initiate remotely self-healing and recovery mechanisms, and request previously recorded surveillance data and live surveillance data in real time.

INCIDENT RECOVERY FOR LIVE MEDIA STREAMS

In an embodiment, a method includes receiving a live media stream. The method also includes causing the live media stream to be progressively written to a recording device as an unprioritized background recording as the live media stream is received.
