Self-contained security system including voice and video calls via the internet
A security system is provided. The security system includes a control panel located within a secured space, a plurality of sensors coupled to the control panel that detect security events within the secured space, a user interface within the secured area coupled to the control panel, a camera located in the user interface that collects video images in the secured space surrounding the user interface upon activation of one of the plurality of sensors, a sound transducer located in the user interface, a programmed processor within one of the user interface and the control panel that supports VoIP calls between a called or calling party and the user interface and a control button on the user interface that activates a VoIP connection with a called or calling party through the user interface and control panel.
Method and apparatus for camera activation
During operation a first personal-area network will activate a first camera. The first camera may be manually activated, or triggered by an audio signal. The event that causes the first camera to activate will also cause the personal-area network to send an acoustic signature to other personal-area networks. Personal-area networks that receive the acoustic signature will modify audio triggers so that the acoustic signature can be better distinguished from other noises.
Methods and systems for presenting alert event indicators
A method is performed at a client device with a display screen, processor(s), and memory storing program(s) for execution by the processor(s). The method comprises obtaining alert events from smart devices at a physical location. The smart devices include a camera located at or in proximity to the physical location. The method further comprises displaying in a scrollable list a chronological sequence of camera event items. Each of the camera event items includes a thumbnail image, a time of the alert event, and one or more activity alert indicators corresponding to predefined activity alert types. The method further comprises receiving a user selection of a first thumbnail image corresponding to a first one of the camera event items, and responsive to the user selection, enabling playback of a video of a first alert event in a video player interface while maintaining display of the scrollable list.
Premises management configuration and control
Disclosed are methods, systems, and devices for management of a premises. The premises may comprise one or more devices, such as a gateway device, a control device, or a premises device. The gateway device may receive data and send the data to the control device. The data may comprise a command, an update, a configuration, or other information. Communication between the control device and any of the other devices at the premises may be configurable by a server device.
FORENSIC VIDEO RECORDING WITH PRESENCE DETECTION
At a high level, embodiments of the invention relate to augmenting video data with presence data derived from one or more proximity tags. More specifically, embodiments of the invention generate forensically authenticated recordings linking video imagery to the presence of specific objects in or near the recording. One embodiment of the invention includes video recording system comprising a camera, a wireless proximity tag reader, a storage memory and control circuitry operable to receive image data from the camera receive a proximity tag identifier identifying a proximity tag from the proximity tag reader, and store an encoded frame containing the image data and the proximity tag identity in the storage memory.

Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for group identification and monitoring. The methods, systems, and apparatus include actions of determining, using one or more first frames of a video sequence, that two people each of whom is depicted in at least one of the first frames satisfy a grouping criteria that indicates that the two people should be grouped for video analysis, determining, using one or more second frames of the video sequence at least some of which were captured after the one or more first frames and which depict at least one of the two people, that the two people satisfy a degrouping criteria that indicates that the two people should not be grouped for video analysis, determining that a physical distance between the two people violates a distance criteria, and providing an alert that the distance criteria is violated.

A system (41) for activating an infrared light source is configured to receive input indicating human presence in a space, determine a type and/or probability of the human presence based on the input, decide whether to activate an infrared light source (12) or a visible-light light source (11) in the space based on the type and/or probability of the human presence, and activate the infrared light source or the visible-light light source in dependence on the decision.
DOORBELL COMMUNICATION SYSTEMS AND METHODS
The disclosure includes a method for using a doorbell system to detect a presence of a visitor. The doorbell system can comprise a doorbell having a speaker, a microphone, a camera, and a button. The method can include detecting, by the doorbell system, the presence of the visitor while the visitor is located outside a building to which the doorbell is attached. The building can include a door having a lock that is configured to fasten the door to inhibit unauthorized entry into the building. In response to detecting the presence of the visitor, the method can include the step of actuating, by the doorbell system, a first appliance associated with the building.
Information capturing device and starting method of information capturing device
An information capturing device includes a setting storage unit, a positioning unit, an audiovisual recording unit and a control unit. The setting storage unit stores a fence setting of a hotspot. The positioning unit, coupled to the setting storage unit, detects a current position, determines whether the current position is within a first geographic boundary defined by the fence setting, and outputs an activation notification when the current position is within the first geographic boundary. The control unit, coupled to the positioning unit and the audiovisual recording unit, activates the audiovisual recording according to the activation notification to perform audiovisual recording so as to capture environmental data.
Access management system
An access management system includes a mobile device with a processor and a memory and a software platform including at least a processor and a memory. The software platform is configured to analyze data obtained from the mobile device and other devices connected to the software platform. Specifically, the software platform is operable to determine if an access key received, read, or captured by a mobile device matches an access key for an authorized account, object, device, or space for the mobile device, and to provide access to the mobile device if the access key received, read, or captured by the mobile device matches the authorized access key.
