A system for monitoring vehicle behavior based on vehicle control data includes a network access device configured to receive braking data from multiple vehicles, the braking data corresponding to vehicle braking events having a brake pressure that is equal to or greater than a threshold brake pressure and including a corresponding location. The system further includes a processor coupled to the memory and configured to determine an event of interest on a roadway by analyzing the braking data and the corresponding location, and to transmit a notification of the event of interest to at least one vehicle.

Geo-tagged vehicle-to-vehicle communication system

Systems and methods for providing geo-tagged vehicle-to-vehicle communication to a follower vehicle during off-road caravanning. In some embodiments, verbal instructions spoken by a leader driver are captured by the vehicle-to-vehicle communication system, tagged with geospatial location information, and broadcast to follower vehicles. Follower vehicles can receive the broadcast verbal instructions, and the system can cause the verbal instructions to be reproduced when the follower vehicle is determined to be within a threshold distance of the geospatial location where the leader driver gave the verbal instructions. The verbal instructions can be accompanied by visual data, such as images and videos. The system can add navigation and landmark markers in the visual data to enhance a leader driver's geo-tagged instructions. A message path can formed from several verbal instructions spoken by the leader driver.

RAPID PASSING METHOD AND DEVICE FOR TARGET VEHICLE

The present disclosure provides a rapid passing method and device for a target vehicle. The rapid passing method for the target vehicle includes: determining a passing route of the target vehicle according to a place where the target vehicle is located and a destination; acquiring position information of the target vehicle in real time; and controlling lane indicating devices in the passing route to indicate a special-purpose lane used by the target vehicle in the passing route according to the real-time position information and the passing route of the target vehicle, and controlling traffic lights to indicate vehicles disturbing passing of the target vehicle to stop driving when the target vehicle passes through an intersection.

Terminal device, group communication system, and group communication method

A terminal device includes a communication unit configured to transmit and receive information, an input unit configured to receive input of state information indicating a state of a movable object, and a controller configured to determine whether a predetermined state change has occurred in the movable object based on the input state information, acquire, as attention information, state-changed position information indicating a state-changed position that is a position of the movable object when the predetermined state change has occurred and attention voice information including an attention content for the state-changed position as voice when it is determined that the predetermined state change has occurred, and cause the communication unit to transmit the acquired attention information.

Map generating server and map generating method

A map generating server capable of bidirectional communication with multiple vehicles having a database configured to store vehicle type identifiers assigned to the vehicles and map data regarding roads usable by the vehicles and cultivated land area near the roads. In the server, a vehicle position data tagged with vehicle type identifier is successively written to location concerned of the map data when each vehicle transmits the position data tagged with the vehicle type identifier. The vehicle position data writing number is incremented if the written vehicle position data is that of a vehicle assigned a specified vehicle type identifier, and the location concerned of the cultivated land area is determined to be cultivated land area road and to update the map data stored in the database when the writing number is equal to or greater than a predetermined number.

Communication terminal, server device, route retrieval system, and computer program

A communication terminal is connected to a server device in a bidirectionally communicable manner and configured to transmit a departure point, a destination, and a route retrieval request from the departure point to the destination to the server device and to acquire a route that is retrieved and delivered by the server device in response to the route retrieval request. The communication terminal receives, from the server device, location road information for identifying a position of a moving object on a map and identifying the position of the moving object based on the received location road information. The communication terminal transmits, to the server device, the route retrieval request in which the identified position of the moving object is set as the departure point, and receives, from the server device, a route that is retrieved by the server device in response to the route retrieval request.

Device and method for convoy navigation

A device and method for convoy navigation is provided. An audio device comprises: a memory; a speaker; a communication interface; a location determining device; and a controller. The controller: receives, from a second audio device, via the communication interface, on a narrowband communication channel, audio information and an associated location of the second audio device, the associated location indicative of where the second audio device transmitted the audio information; stores, at the memory, the audio information and the associated location; tracks, using the location determining device, a current location of the audio device; and when the current location of the audio device is at about the associated location, controls the speaker to play the audio information.

GENERATING NAVIGATION INSTRUCTIONS
20200072632 · 2020-03-05 ·

Concepts for generating navigation instructions for a driver of a vehicle are presented. One example, includes obtaining a current location of the vehicle, a route for the vehicle from the current location to a target destination, and a captured image of the surrounding environment of the vehicle, the image having a field of view comprising at least part of a field of view of the driver. An object is identified in the captured image. Navigation instructions for the driver are generated based on the current location of the vehicle, the route for the vehicle and the object identified in the captured image.
