This disclosure is related to devices, systems, and techniques for outputting an alarm signal in response to detecting a leak in a water heater device. For example, a water heater device includes a leak sensor, an intermittent pilot light, and a circuit. The circuit includes processing circuitry configured to receive, from the leak sensor, an electrical signal including information indicative of a leak in the water heater device, activate, based on the electrical signal including information indicative of the leak, an alarm device, where the alarm device is powered for at least a period of time by a power source, where the power source is configured to receive energy from a thermoelectric device, and maintain an amount of energy stored by the power source so that the amount of energy is sufficient for the power source to supply energy to the alarm device.
UNIVERSAL XYZ-AXIS LEAK SENSOR
A liquid cooling subsystem and method of manufacturing a liquid cooling subsystem in an information handling system that includes a base plate, a heat exchanger mounted on the base plate, and an inlet coolant tube and outlet coolant tube operatively connected to the heat exchanger. The liquid cooling subsystem includes a liquid leak sensor disposed on the base plate that includes a main body and secondary body that each contain a plurality of sensing areas. The liquid cooling subsystem also includes electronic components for connecting and electrically detecting fluid on the plurality of sensing areas disposed on the main body. The liquid cooling subsystem also includes an opening in the main body that accommodates the heat exchanger and a split feature in the main body. The secondary body is connected to the main body along a foldable edge on an opposite side of the split feature.
MICRO POWER WATER LEAK DETECTOR
A fluid sensing system and approach having a leak sensor. The leak sensor may output a signal when a fluid is detected. The signal may go to an alarm circuit which can sound a warning or alert. The signal may also go to a control interface of a piece of equipment, such as a water heater, to shut off the piece equipment in an event that it is causing a leak of fluid. Also, the sensing system may have a low battery sensor and indicator in case a battery supplying power for the sensing system is running low. The sensing system may be made of analog circuitry and discrete components.
FLUID PUMPING SYSTEMS, DEVICES AND METHODS
Embodiments of the present invention relate generally to certain types of reciprocating positive-displacement pumps (which may be referred to hereinafter as “pods,” “pump pods,” or “pod pumps”) used to pump fluids, such as a biological fluid (e.g., blood or peritoneal fluid), a therapeutic fluid (e.g., a medication solution), or a surfactant fluid. The pumps may be configured specifically to impart low shear forces and low turbulence on the fluid as the fluid is pumped from an inlet to an outlet. Such pumps may be particularly useful in pumping fluids that may be damaged by such shear forces (e.g., blood, and particularly heated blood, which is prone to hemolysis) or turbulence (e.g., surfectants or other fluids that may foam or otherwise be damaged or become unstable in the presence of turbulence).
Device for the detection and signalisation of a leakage and a heat exchanger
A device for detecting and signalising a leakage in a double-walled conduit system of a heat exchanger for heating fresh water by way of heat from waste water in the sanitary field as well as a heat exchanger including such a device. The device has an elastic element and a signalisation unit, wherein the elastic element is essentially liquid-tight and the signalisation unit is configured to generate an acoustic signal and the signalisation unit is activatable by way of a mechanical deformation of the elastic element.
Configurable leak detection system
A configurable leak detection system comprising a leak detection device and at least a leak detection covering comprising a leak detection region having a first and second electrode and at least an attachable region is provided. The first and second electrodes are disposed spaced apart and fixed in firm contact with the covering. The system is attached onto liquid cooling systems, bases, and/or fluid conduits. When liquid is leaked onto the covering, the liquid is absorbed therein, until the dampened region extends over some point on each of the first and second electrodes. An electrical current is conducted, providing a low resistance path therebetween. An impedance change is detected, an alert means is generated, and the leak detection device is reset. More than one configurable leak detection system is attached onto systems, bases and/or fluid conduits via the at least an attachable region, and then electrically coupled together.
Water Heater with an Integrated Leak Detection System
A water heater includes a tank assembly that defines an insulation cavity between an inner storage tank and an outer jacket. The water heater includes a bottom pad that supports the tank assembly thereon. The bottom pad is disposed in a bottom pan. Gaskets are disposed between the bottom pad and the bottom pan of the water heater. The bottom pad and at least one of the gaskets include apertures that are configured to internally route a leak sensor assembly of the water heater from the bottom pan to a controller of the water heater through the insulation cavity while preventing a leak of insulation material from the insulation cavity to the bottom pan. The water heater also includes a mounting bracket that is coupled to the inner storage tank to securely hold and route a portion of the leak sensor assembly disposed in the insulation cavity to the controller.

GAS DETECTOR COMPRISING PLURAL GAS SENSORS AND GAS DETECTION
A gas detector comprises: plural gas sensors provided with a metal-oxide semiconductor whose resistance changes based upon contact with a gas; and a driving circuit for operating the gas sensors. The gas detector stores the ratio between initial resistance in air of the metal-oxide semiconductor and initial resistance of the metal-oxide semiconductor in an atmosphere including a predetermined concentration of fron gas, for the plural gas sensors. The gas detector learns resistance in air of the metal-oxide semiconductor in a gas sensor in use, and detects occurrence of fron gas when resistance of the metal-oxide semiconductor of the gas sensor in use becomes lower than a value corresponding to the learned resistance in air divided by the ratio. The gas detector counts the period that a first gas sensor is used. When the first gas sensor has been used for a predetermined period, both the first gas sensor and a second gas sensor are used for a learning period to continue detection of fron by the first gas sensor and to learn the resistance in air of the metal-oxide semiconductor of the second gas sensor. After completion of the learning period, fron leakage is detected by the second gas sensor.
