Ultra-violet fluorescing sealant
11060945 · 2021-07-13 · ·

A sealing element that visually indicates when a sealing element has been opened or corrupted without destruction of the seal. Ultraviolet light passes through a scattering layer and is absorbed by a fluorescing layer, the fluorescing layer reemitting the light in the visual spectrum and thereby allowing a user to inspect the integrity of the sealing element without otherwise destroying the seal.

The object of the invention is to provide means and method of monitoring target gas content in gas tight membrane enclosing a volume containing an object. The visible gas indicator comprises means for being fastened to a gas tight membrane enclosing a volume containing an object, where the gas indicator comprises a chamber having a transparent window. The chamber is in gas communication with the interior of the volume. The window is arranged outside said volume, and a substrate is arranged inside said chamber and visible from outside said volume, where said substrate changes colours when exposed to a target gas.

Leakage inspection method and leakage inspection device for container to be inspected

A leakage inspection method and leakage inspection device for container to be inspected are provided. When a container to be inspected having a deformable flexible part is to be inspected for leakage, the container to be inspected is filled with an inspection gas containing helium, the container to be inspected, which has been filled with the inspection gas, is disposed in an inspection chamber partitioned from the outside, and an upward flow of a carrier gas is formed from the lower part to the upper part of the container to be inspected. A leakage of the inspection gas filled in the container to be inspected is then detected on the basis of the result of measuring the concentration of helium in the carrier gas collected at a position higher than a position where the carrier gas is fed into the inspection chamber.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DETERMINING A CONCENTRATION OF A GAS IN A CONTAINER

A system and method is for determining a concentration of at least one gas in a container having at least one side with a flexible area. The system includes a measuring area arranged for receiving the container; a suction device arranged for pulling at least one portion of the flexible area a distance to arranging at least the portion of the flexible area in a position to provide a space underneath at least the portion of the flexible area; an optical sensor, configured to be sensitive to the at least one gas, is arranged in relation to the measuring area for transmitting a light signal through the space and detecting a transmitted light signal; and a controller configured for determining, based on the transmitted light signal, the concentration of the at least one gas in the container.

METHOD OF TESTING THE SEAL OF TRANSPORTABLE CONTAINERS, SUCH AS SUITCASES, TRUNKS, CASES AND THE LIKE
20200217743 · 2020-07-09 ·

A method of testing the seal of transportable containers, such as suitcases, trunks, and cases, which form inside them, in at least one closed configuration, at least one compartment to be seal tested, the method includes the following steps: accommodating a container to be tested, in the closed configuration, in a saturation chamber; dispensing a tracer gas in the saturation chamber; and lowering the pressure value inside the compartment. The method further includes waiting for a preset time, keeping the saturation chamber closed; drawing an air sample from the compartment; and measuring the actual concentration of tracer gas in the air sample drawn from the compartment. Thus, an actual concentration higher than a reference value, correlated to the normal concentration of tracer gas in the atmosphere, can indicate the entry of the tracer gas in the compartment and a condition of at least potential defectiveness of the seal of the compartment of the container.

Container leak detection

There is provided a leak detection system for detecting breaches in sealed food containers. The leak detection system comprises air-sample testing equipment configured to test the composition of an air sample provided to the air-sample testing equipment. At least one pressing member is provided configured to, in use, apply pressure to the sealed food container located in an air-sampling region. At least one air-sampling port is located in the air-sampling region. An air sample conduit is provided extending between the at least one air-sampling port and the air-sample testing equipment. In use, the at least one air-sampling port takes an air sample from the air-sampling region at least during or after the at least one pressing member applies pressure to the sealed food container in the air-sampling region and communicates said air sample through the air sample conduit to the air-sample testing equipment.

GAS SENSOR FAULT DETECTION DEVICE, GAS SENSOR FAULT DETECTION SYSTEM, AND GAS SENSOR FAULT DETECTION METHOD

There is provided a gas sensor fault detection device that detects a sensor fault in a gas leak inspection device. The gas sensor fault detection device includes: a gas blowing unit that blows a gas toward a detection area of a gas sensor of the gas leak inspection device; and a position fixing unit that fixes a position of the gas blowing unit with reference to a hypothetical gas leak position of an inspection target being inspected by the gas leak inspection device.

Multi-envelope bag and systems and methods for detecting a possible loss of integrity of such a bag

Disclosed is a bag including: a first envelope having at least one fill and/or discharge orifice for a biopharmaceutical fluid and a fill and/or discharge tube associated in a fluidtight manner with the fill and/or discharge orifice, a second envelope within which the first envelope is located, and a spacer element. The first envelope, the second envelope, and the spacer element form a coherent whole, in particular during use of the bag, and the fill and/or discharge tube traverses the second envelope by a fluidtight connection, the fill and/or discharge inlet being located outside the second envelope.
