A method for operating a power management device for controlling an operating device connected to a power supply network, in which the maximum demanded and/or provided output of the controlled operating device is at least 3 kW, is disclosed. An information data set is received which describes coupling information or a temporal progression of coupling information from a server device associated with a network provider of a power supply network, the coupling information describing a relationship between a device load of the operating device and a target variable to be optimized. A load profile is determined which describes a predicted temporal progression of the device load by optimizing the load profile with respect to the target variable. The load profile is provided to the server device, and the power management device may control the operating device according to a default value which is predetermined based on the load profile.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR REGULATING CONDENSATION OF FLUE GAS IN A STEAM GENERATOR
A system for regulating condensation of a flue gas in a steam generator is provided. The system includes a temperature controller and a flue gas analyzer. The temperature controller is configured to control a temperature of a component of the steam generator, the component being in heating-contact with the flue gas. The flue gas analyzer is configured to communicate with the temperature controller and to obtain a measurement of an amount of an acid-forming compound in the flue gas. The temperature controller adjusts the temperature of the component based at least in part on the measurement such that the temperature of the component is above an acid dew point of the flue gas when the component is in heating-contact with the flue gas.

LASER DISPERSION SPECTROSCOPY FOR BOREHOLE ANALYSIS
This disclosure presents a process and system to determine characteristics of a subterranean formation proximate a borehole. Borehole material is typically pumped from the borehole, though borehole material can be used within the borehole as well. Extracted material of interest is collected from the borehole material and prepared for analyzation. Typically, the preparation can be a separation process, a filtering process, a moisture removal process, a pressure control process, a flow control process, a cleaning process, and other preparation processes. The prepared extracted material is placed in a laser dispersion spectroscopy device (LDS) where measurements can be taken. A LDS analyzer can generate results utilizing the measurements, where the results of the extracted material can include one or more of composition parameters, alkene parameters, and signature change parameters. The results can be communicated to other systems and processes to be used as inputs into well site operation plans and decisions.
Wavelength determination for widely tunable lasers and laser systems thereof
Methods for wavelength determination of widely tunable lasers and systems thereof may be implemented with solid-state laser based photonic systems based on photonic integrated circuit technology as well as discrete table top systems such as widely-tunable external cavity lasers and systems. The methods allow integrated wavelength control enabling immediate system wavelength calibration without the need for external wavelength monitoring instruments. Wavelength determination is achieved using a monolithic solid-state based optical cavity with a well-defined transmission or reflection function acting as a wavelength etalon. The solid-state etalon may be used with a wavelength shift tracking component, e.g., a non-balanced interferometer, to calibrate the entire laser emission tuning curve within one wavelength sweep. The method is particularly useful for integrated photonic systems based on Vernier-filter mechanism where the starting wavelength is not known a-priori, or for compact widely tunable external cavity lasers eliminating the need for calibration of wavelength via external instruments.
