Series absorbance glass and interference filters
An imaging assembly and processing system that includes a sample platform having a target region which can hold a sample, where the sample can be marked with fluorescent or phosphorescent markers. The imaging assembly can have an excitation light module proximate to the sample platform that emits light to excite the markers, and a lens module positioned to receive emission light from excited markers in target region. At least one series filter assembly or interference filter can be arranged in front of, behind, or both in front of and behind the lens module. The assembly includes a light sensor and a processor and imaging module configured to process data captured by the light sensor. Images of the sample are generated based on the emission light from the sample that transmit through and are filtered by the lens assembly and series filter assembly or interference filter.

Systems and methods for hyperspectral imaging are described. In one implementation, a hyperspectral imaging system includes a sample holder configured to hold a sample, an illumination system, and a detection system. The illumination system includes a light source configured to emit excitation light having one or more wavelengths, and a first set of optical elements that include a first spatial light modulator (SLM), at least one lens, and at least one dispersive element. The illumination system is configured to structure the excitation light into a predetermined two-dimensional pattern at a conjugate plane of a focal plane in the sample, spectrally disperse the structured excitation light in a first lateral direction, and illuminate the sample in an excitation pattern with the one or more wavelengths dispersed in the first lateral direction.
Spatial Light Modulator Based Hyperspectral Confocal Microscopes and Methods of Use
Systems and methods for confocal imaging are described. In one implementation, a confocal imaging system may include a light source configured to emit excitation light having one or more wavelengths, a sample holder configured to hold a sample, a two-dimensional (2-D) imaging device, a first set of optical elements, and a second set of optical elements. The first set of optical elements may include a first spatial light modulator (SLM) and at least one lens. The first set of optical elements may together be configured to collimate the excitation light, apply a predetermined phase modulation pattern to the collimated excitation light, and illuminate the sample in an excitation pattern.
IMAGING SYSTEM WITH OBLIQUE ILLUMINATION
The present disclosure provides an imaging system, including methods and apparatus, with oblique illumination. In an exemplary method of imaging, a sample may be illuminated obliquely with excitation light generated by only a subset of a plurality of light sources mounted to an annular frame. An image may be detected, with the image formed with photoluminescence induced in the sample by the excitation light and received from a central opening of the annular frame.
Detection device and methods of use
An imaging system for exciting and measuring fluorescence on or in samples comprising fluorescent materials (e.g. fluorescent labels, dyes or pigments). In one embodiment, a device is used to detect fluorescent labels on nucleic acid. In a preferred embodiment, the device is configured such that fluorescent labels in a plurality of different DNA templates are simultaneously detected.

The present invention provides a wide-area sample-based reader design which serves as a diagnostic detection device for bio-particles.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR SPECTRAL ANALYSIS OF A COMPOUND SPECIMEN
A device for spectral analysis including a seat for holding therein a compound specimen; a light source for illuminating the compound specimen with a spectrum of light; and a detector configured for detecting light transmitted through or reflected from the biological sample, the detector including a pixel array having a plurality of pixels each of which being configured to detect intensity of one wavelength within the spectrum such that the pixel array obtains a spectral signature of the biological sample including intensities of wavelengths within the spectrum.
System and method for fluorescence microscopy with detection of light emission from multiple fluorochromes
The present invention relates to fluorescence microscopy and specifically to improvements of method for and a corresponding fluorescence microscopy system for allowing separate detection of a plurality of fluorochromes.
Native fluorescence detection methods, devices, and systems for organic compounds
Naphthalene, benzene, toluene, xylene, and other volatile organic compounds VOCs have been identified as serious health hazards. Embodiments of the invention are directed to methods and apparatus for near-real-time in-situ detection and accumulated dose measurement of exposure to naphthalene vapor and other hazardous gaseous VOCs. The methods and apparatus employ excitation of fluorophors native or endogenous to compounds of interest using light sources emitting in the ultraviolet below 300 nm and measurement of native fluorescence emissions in distinct wavebands above the excitation wavelength. The apparatus of some embodiments are cell-phone-sized sensor/dosimeter “badges” to be worn by personnel potentially exposed to hazardous VOCs. The badge sensor of some embodiments provides both real time detection and data logging of exposure to naphthalene or other VOCs of interest from which both instantaneous and accumulated dose can be determined.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR IMAGING OF REAL-TIME NUCLEIC ACID AMPLIFICATION TESTS (NAATS)
Systems and methods for detecting a target moiety are disclosed. A system includes a substrate holder including a porous matrix. The porous matrix includes a first detectable agent and a second detectable agent. The system includes a housing, optically coupled with the substrate holder, and shaped to optically couple with a radiation source and a radiation sensor and to optically isolate the radiation source and the radiation sensor. The system includes an excitation filter, disposed in or on the housing, configured to receive excitation electromagnetic radiation from the radiation source and to transmit a first portion of the excitation electromagnetic radiation to the porous matrix. The system also includes an emission filter, disposed in or on the housing, configured to receive emitted fluorescence electromagnetic radiation from the porous matrix and to transmit a second portion of the emitted fluorescence electromagnetic radiation, the second portion being different from the first portion.
