COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS FOR DIAGNOSING PRIMARY BILIARY CIRRHOSIS
The present disclosure relates to the use of anti-KLHL12 antibodies as a clinical biomarker for diagnosing primary biliary cirrhosis (PBC), now known as primary biliary cholangitis. The disclosure further provides compositions and methods for detecting anti-KLHL12 antibodies in a biological sample.
SCREENING METHOD
The present invention provides a method of screening a mammal for the onset or predisposition to the onset of a neuropsychiatric disorder. More particularly, the present invention provides a method of screening a mammal for the onset or predisposition to the onset of schizophrenia by screening for a decrease in the functional level of protein 1 4-3-3ξ. In a related aspect, the present invention also provides a means of monitoring a patient diagnosed with a neuropsychiatric disorder, such as schizophrenia, by screening for changes to functional levels of protein 14-3-3 ξ. This may be useful, for example, in the context of evaluating the effectiveness of a prophylactic or therapeutic treatment regime or otherwise monitoring the impact of physiological or metabolic changes which may occur in a patient. The method of the present invention is useful in a wide range of applications including, inter alia, providing a means of identifying mammals susceptible to the onset of a neuropsychiatric condition, such as a condition characterized by one or more symptoms of schizophrenia, thereby enabling the implementation of prophylactic or early therapeutic intervention in an effort to either minimize or prevent the onset of the condition. It also provides a means of confirming diagnoses which would otherwise be based solely on an assessment of positive and negative symptoms.
STAT3 phosphorylation during graft-versus-host disease
Compositions and methods to reduce the risk of graft versus host disease (GVHD) in a subject receiving hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT). Also disclosed are methods for identifying patients receiving HSCT who are at risk for developing GVHD, methods for prognosing the severity of GVHD in a subject receiving HSCT, and methods for monitoring efficacy of a therapeutic for treatment of GVHD in a subject HSCT.
KMT2A-MAML2 FUSION MOLECULES AND USES THEREOF
The present disclosure provides KMT2A-MAML2 fusion nucleic acid molecules, and KMT2A-MAML2 fusion polypeptides, as well as methods, kits and reagents for detecting such KMT2A-MAML2 fusion nucleic acid molecules and KMT2A-MAML2 fusion polypeptides. The disclosure also provides methods for evaluating, identifying, assessing, and/or treating an individual having a cancer, such an epithelial neoplasm or a thymoma.
Screening method
The present invention provides a method of screening a mammal for the onset or predisposition to the onset of a neuropsychiatric disorder. More particularly, the present invention provides a method of screening a mammal for the onset or predisposition to the onset of schizophrenia by screening for a decrease in the functional level of protein 14-3-3ζ. In a related aspect, the present invention also provides a means of monitoring a patient diagnosed with a neuropsychiatric disorder, such as schizophrenia, by screening for changes to functional levels of protein 14-3-3ζ.
Method for identifying anti-cancer agents using an in vitro cell culture system that maintains cancer cell stemness
An in vitro co-culture system comprising cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAFs) and cancer cells for producing and maintaining cancer stem cells and uses thereof for identifying agents capable of reducing cancer cell stemness. Also disclosed herein are a paracrine network through which CAFs facilitate production and/or maintenance of cancer stem cells and the use of components of such a paracrine network for prognosis purposes and for identifying cancer patients who are likely to respond to certain treatment.
Application of ERH Gene in the Preparation of Bladder Cancer Diagnosis and Treatment Products
The invention relates to the application of the ERH gene in the preparation of bladder cancer diagnosis and treatment products. The ERH gene is found to have a good correlation with bladder cancer. In addition, an RNA interference vector is constructed to perform cell function experiments to study the effect of ERH gene on the proliferation and clonality of bladder cancer cells. The present invention provides a research basis for clinical diagnosis and treatment of bladder cancer and has a good application prospect.
METHODS OF DETERMINING INTERFERON HAVING DIRECT INHIBITORY EFFECTS ON TUMORS AND USES THEREOF
The invention provides novel methods of determining or comparing potency of a test interferon relative to rSIFN-co (an interferon having therapeutic effects on solid tumors); methods of establishing substantial equivalence between a test interferon and rSIFN-co; as well as methods for determining potency of a test interferon, kits for determination of such methods, and an interferon or an interferon substitute having said activities.
MONOCLONAL ANTIBODIES BINDING MCM5
The present invention relates to antibodies that bind to Mcm5. The invention further relates to compositions or kits comprising the antibodies, hybridomas capable of expressing the antibodies, polynucleotides, polypeptides and vectors coding for the antibodies and methods for making the antibodies.
METHODS AND DEVICES FOR DETECTING DIABETIC NEPHROPATHY AND ASSOCIATED DISORDERS
Methods and devices for diagnosing, monitoring, or determining diabetic nephropathy or an associated disorder in a mammal are described. In particular, methods and devices for diagnosing, monitoring, or determining diabetic nephropathy or an associated disorder using measured concentrations of a combination of three or more analytes in a test sample taken from the mammal are described.
