Multi-path mitigation in tracking objects using a distributed antenna system
11012811 · 2021-05-18 · ·

An autonomous system with no Customer Network Investment is described, wherein the system is configurable to operate on in a band in addition to the LTE band. Such system allows the definition of hybrid operations to accommodate the positioning reference signals (PRS) of LTE and already existing reference signals. The system can operate with PRS, with other reference signals such as cell-specific reference signals (CRS), or with both signal types. As such, the system provides the advantage of allowing network operator(s) to dynamically choose between modes of operation depending on circumstances, such as network throughput and compatibility. The system further enables information collected at a network device to be processed at a locate server without involving any processing at the network device.

Pulse identification in a light detection and ranging, sonar, or radar system

A platform operates in an environment with other platforms using active sensing. The platform includes an active sensing system configured to provide a point cloud associated with the environment. The point cloud is used to navigate the platform. The active sensing system includes a transmitter configured to provide pulses of electromagnetic energy in a light band or a radar band or sonic energy and a receiver configured to receive returns associated with the pulses striking one or more targets in the environment. The transmitter is configured to impose a code onto the pulses, and the receiver is configured to detect the code to determine when the pulses of light where transmitted or to determine a source of the pulses.

DITHERING FMCW RADAR PARAMETERS TO MITIGATE SPURIOUS SIGNALS

A method for a radar system includes transmitting, by a transmit channel of the radar system, a frame comprising first, second, and third chirps. Each chirp has a chirp start frequency, and the chirp start frequency of the transmitted chirps is dithered. The method also includes receiving, by a receive channel of the radar system, a frame of reflected chirps based on the transmitted frame, and generating a digital intermediate frequency (IF) signal.
