The radar sensor also has a signal receiving device for receiving and processing received signals as reflected radar signals. The received signals can be processed with a prediction method in order to determine a predicted signal, which can be compared to the received signal in order to eliminate disruptions deviating therefrom.

One end of the first waveguide gap is connected to the second waveguide gap, and at a connecting portion therebetween, the first waveguide face extends in a direction that intersects a plane which is parallel to the second conductive surface.

A method is provided that includes a vehicle receiving data from an external computing device indicative of at least one other vehicle in an environment of the vehicle. The vehicle may include a sensor configured to detect the environment of the vehicle. The at least one other vehicle may include at least one sensor. The method also includes determining a likelihood of interference between the at least one sensor of the at least one other vehicle the sensor of the vehicle. The method also includes initiating an adjustment of the sensor to reduce the likelihood of interference between the sensor of the vehicle and the at least one sensor of the at least one other vehicle responsive to the determination.

The first signal comprises a polyphase sequence.

A light detection and ranging (LIDAR) system includes an optical source to emit a corresponding plurality of optical beams with synchronized chirp rates and synchronized chirp durations. The plurality of optical beams are each tuned to produce regions of constructive and destructive interference into a combined optical beam. A first optical component forms a phase-locked loop to correct nonlinearities detected in the plurality of optical beams. A second optical component transmits a combined optical beam toward a target environment and receives a target return signal. A third optical component downconverts the target return signal to a plurality of fixed frequency downconverted target return signals, each including a target range component and a target velocity component.

The processing may be partitioned in accordance with a relative position of the antenna system and/or a particular beamwidth of an antenna. Examples described herein may perform an enhanced resolution mode of imaging which may steer beams at multiple angles for each measurement position.

In some aspects, a radar device may transmit a combined frequency modulated continuous wave (FMCW) radar signal, wherein the combined FMCW radar signal comprises: a first FMCW radar chirp generated based at least in part on a first set of transmission parameter values; and a second FMCW radar chirp generated based at least in part on a second set of transmission parameter values, wherein a transmission parameter value of the second set of transmission parameter values is different than a corresponding transmission parameter value of the first set of transmission parameter values. The radar device may detect a radar target based at least in part on a received signal corresponding to the combined FMCW radar signal and perform an action based at least in part on detecting the radar target. An autonomous vehicle (AV) includes a radar sensor system and a computing system that computes velocities of an object in a driving environment of the AV based upon radar data that is representative of radar returns received by the radar sensor system. The AV can be configured to compute a first velocity of the object based upon first radar data that is representative of the radar return from a first time to a second time. The AV can further be configured to compute a second velocity of the object based upon second radar data that includes at least a portion of the first radar data and further includes additional radar data representative of a radar return received subsequent to the second time. The AV can further be configured to control one of a propulsion system, a steering system, or a braking system to effectuate motion of the AV based upon the computed velocities.
