Chip dismounting and mounting device
A chip dismounting and mounting device, matched with a chip mounting part on a process cartridge. The chip dismounting and mounting device is capable of dismounting a chip disposed on the chip mounting part or mounting the chip on the chip mounting part. The chip dismounting and mounting device can smoothly dismount the chip on an exhausted process cartridge without damage and smoothly mount the dismounted chip on a new process cartridge. This alleviates the inconvenience for the user to dismount a chip on the exhausted process cartridge and mount the chip on the new process cartridge.
Cartridge and image forming apparatus
A cartridge mountable to and dismountable from a main assembly of an image forming apparatus includes a memory, a guide configured to guide a portion-to-be-guided provided in the main assembly and to guide a main assembly contact provided in the main assembly to a memory contact of the memory when the cartridge is mounted in the main assembly, and a grip portion. The guide is provided at a bottom of the cartridge when the cartridge is hung by gripping the grip portion and constitutes a part of a supporting portion configured to support the cartridge when the cartridge is placed on a horizontal placement surface. The guide has a chamfered surface formed by being chamfered. When the cartridge is supported at the supporting portion, the chamfered surface opposes the horizontal placement surface, and a surface of the memory contact is inclined with respect to the horizontal placement surface.
Developing cartridge
The developing cartridge herein has a housing, a developing roller rotatably supported by it, the developing roller rotating about an axis in a direction, a supply roller rotatably supported by the housing and configured to convey a developer to the developing roller, the supply roller having a supply roller shaft, a driving gear on a driving side of the housing in the direction, and an electrode electrically connected to the developing roller shaft. The electrode has first and second parts, and an intermediate part connecting them. The first part is on an opposite side of the driving side of the housing, the second part is on the driving side, and the opposite side of the driving side and the driving side are opposite ends of the housing in the direction, and the second part is simultaneously in contact with the supply roller shaft and the developing roller shaft.
PROCESS CARTRIDGE CONFIGURED OF DEVELOPING CARTRIDGE INCLUDING ELECTRICAL CONTACT SURFACE, AND DRUM CARTRIDGE INCLUDING ELECTRICAL CONTACT SURFACE AND LOCK LEVER
A process cartridge includes a developing cartridge and a drum cartridge. The developing cartridge includes: a casing; a developing roller rotatable about a developing axis extending in a first direction; and a development-side IC chip having a development-side electrical contact surface. The drum cartridge includes: a drum frame; a photosensitive drum rotatable about a drum axis extending in the first direction; a drum-side IC chip having a drum-side electrical contact surface; and a lock lever configured to lock the developing cartridge to the drum frame. The development-side electrical contact surface and the drum-side electrical contact surface are positioned opposite to the lock lever with respect to the casing in the first direction in a state where the developing cartridge is attached to the drum frame.
PHOTOSENSITIVE MEMBER CARTRIDGE AND PROCESS CARTRIDGE
A photosensitive member cartridge detachably mountable to a main assembly of an image forming apparatus for forming an image, includes a frame; a photosensitive drum on which and which is provided in the frame; a transfer member for transferring an image formed on the drum onto the sheet; a mounting portion for detachably mounting a developing cartridge including a developer carrying member onto the drum and a memory for storing information; a first electrical contact provided on the frame and electrically connectable with a main assembly electrical contact provided in the main assembly when the cartridge is mounted to the main assembly; and a second electrical contact provided on the frame for electrically connecting the memory and the first electrical contact portion with each other when the developing cartridge is mounted to the mounting portion.
CARTRIDGE, PROCESS CARTRIDGE, AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A cartridge that can be inserted in an apparatus main body of an image forming apparatus by moving along an axial direction of an image bearing member includes the image bearing member, a frame configured to support the image bearing member, a storage member configured to store therein information on the cartridge, and include an electrical contact, and a first pressed section and a second pressed portion configured to be pressed by the apparatus main body. The electrical contact is disposed between the first pressed section and the second pressed section, and is configured to be in contact with the main body contact on a lower side in a state where the cartridge is attached to the apparatus main body.
DRUM CARTRIDGE INCLUDING ELECTRICAL CONTACT SURFACE POSITIONED AT OUTER SURFACE OF DRUM FRAME
A drum cartridge includes: a drum frame to which a developing cartridge is attachable; a photosensitive drum; and a first storage medium. The drum frame has one end portion and another end portion spaced apart from the one end portion in a first direction. The photosensitive drum is rotatable about a first axis extending in a second direction and is positioned at the one end portion of the drum cartridge. The first storage medium includes a first electrical contact surface. The first storage medium is positioned at an outer surface of the drum frame, the outer surface being exposed in a state where the developing cartridge is attached to the drum frame.
PROCESS CARTRIDGE AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A process cartridge includes a first unit including an image bearing member configured to carry an electrostatic latent image, and a second unit including a developer bearing member configured to develop the electrostatic latent image carried on the image bearing member into a toner image, the second unit being capable of being mounted on the first unit in a mounting direction. The first unit includes a moving member that moves the second unit mounted on the first unit at a mounting position to a detachment position. The second unit includes a storage unit that stores information about the second unit. The moving member is disposed on a first side of the process cartridge in a longitudinal direction of the image bearing member. An electrode of the storage unit is disposed on a second side of the process cartridge in the longitudinal direction.
Process cartridge and image forming apparatus
A process cartridge mountable in and dismountable from an image forming apparatus includes a frame, a storing portion provided on a mounting surface of the frame and configured to store information on the process cartridge, a projection projecting outwardly of the mounting surface in a direction normal to the mounting surface, and an electrical contact portion mounted on the projection and electrically connected to the storing portion.
