IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS AND IMAGE FORMING METHOD
An image forming apparatus includes a cover that is opened to permit an operator to access an interior of the image forming apparatus to install a toner cartridge in the image forming apparatus, an image forming unit configured to form an image with toner supplied from the installed toner cartridge, and a control unit configured to execute a process to determine whether or not the installed toner cartridge is genuine upon detecting that the image forming apparatus is in a first state and upon detecting that the cover has been opened and then closed for a time period and the time period exceeds a threshold time period.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS AND CONTROL PROGRAM FOR IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes: a hardware processor that detects multiple files stored in the external storage when an external storage is installed to the image forming apparatus, determines a scan order of each of the multiple files detected by the hardware processor, and scans each of the multiple files for viruses in the scan order; and an acceptor that accepts a print instruction for a file stored in the external storage, wherein the hardware processor determines whether it is necessary to execute virus scanning on a print target file before printing depending on whether the hardware processor has completed virus scanning on the print target file, which is the file for which the print instruction has been accepted by the acceptor.
Engine for generating control plans for digital pre-print paper, sheet, and box manufacturing systems
Systems for providing efficient manufacturing of paper, sheet, and/or box products of varying size and structure, often with pre-applied print (pre-print), are provided herein. One or more controllers can be used to aggregate upcoming orders and information needed to complete the manufacturing process for the order. A controller enables a user to prepare control plans (e.g., reel maps, reel plans, etc.) for processing rolls of web product through the manufacturing process. Criteria filtering and/or various features enable generation of efficient and effective control plans for rolls of web product, including, in some cases, multiple orders. The control plan may include a set of instructions for operating one or more systems within the manufacturing process to form the desired finished paper-based product. In such a regard, efficient manufacturing of various paper-based products, including corrugated boxes, folded carton, labels, flexible paper, industrial bags, plates, cups, dcor, and many others, can be achieved.
Image forming apparatus and recording medium suitable for image forming processing based on PDL (page description language) which generates a display list using a speculative process before data analysis of an object of PDL is completed
Provided is an image forming apparatus for further speeding up an image forming process. A first rendering core of a rendering core module executes data analysis of an object of PDL format printing information. A second rendering core executes a speculative process for generating a Display List for an object. A third rendering core executes a rendering process for a printout or display output based on the Display List generated by the second rendering core. In addition, data analysis by the first rendering core and the speculative process by the second rendering core are executed in parallel processing. As a result, the second rendering core can execute the generation of a Display List by a speculative process even without receiving a rendering command from the first rendering core.
Server apparatus, information processing system, and image forming apparatus
A server apparatus includes: a storage device configured to store a resolution table, the resolution table being configured to record a plurality of image forming apparatuses having different resolutions, the resolutions of the image forming apparatuses respectively, and information processing abilities of the image forming apparatuses respectively, in association with each other; and a processor configured to operate as a printable data obtaining unit, an intermediate data creating unit, an image forming apparatus selecting unit, an intermediate data supplying unit, a rasterized data obtaining unit, a pull-print receiving unit, a resolution determining unit, and a pull-print data supplying unit.
Image processing apparatus and method for controlling image processing apparatus
The image processing apparatus includes an accepting unit, first and second storage units, and a controller. The first storage unit stores frequency order data for each language. The controller, using character image data in a font cache area, performs rasterization processing on PDL data. The controller sets first and second cache areas. The controller, based on frequency order data corresponding to a selected language, generates character image data in descending order of character use frequency. The controller has the character image data generated based on frequency order data stored in the first cache area.
Image forming apparatus that determines a job generation method based on image processing time
An image forming apparatus includes a controller. The controller generates page images of one or more pages by performing image processing on acquired input image data. The controller determines a job generation method to be either a first method or a second method. The job generation method is a method through which print job data is generated. The first method is a method through which the print job data is generated based on page image data indicating a page image of one page among the one or more pages upon completing the image processing on the page image of the one page. The second method is a method through which the print job data is generated based on the page image data of all pages included in the output image after completing the image processing on the page images of all the pages included in the output image.
Computer-readable medium, information processing device, and method for causing a printer to perform pre-printing operation
A non-transitory computer-readable medium stores computer-readable instructions that are executable by a processor of an information processing device including a communication interface. The instructions are configured to, when executed by the processor, cause the information processing device to, in response to receiving print instruction information, determine whether to transmit preparing instruction information to cause a printer to perform a pre-printing operation, based on at least one of information included in the received print instruction information and reference communication time required for communication with the printer, the pre-printing operation including preparing for a printing operation in advance of performing the printing operation, the preparing instruction information being information to be transmitted prior to instructing the printer to perform the printing operation.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS AND CONTROL METHOD OF IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus and a control method of an image forming apparatus having high convenience are provided. The image forming apparatus includes an image transfer system and a processor. The image transfer system is configured to be switchable between a first position, where printing is performed in a first mode, and a second position, where printing is performed in a second mode. The processor, when executing a print job by switching a position of the image transfer system to a position set in advance as a home position at a waiting time for printing, switches the position of the image transfer system to a position corresponding to the print job and sets the home position based on a result of comparison between a print history in a first mode and a print history in a second mode.
Image forming apparatus
An image forming apparatus has an operation portion, an operation sensing portion, a human detecting portion, and a sensing period adjusting portion. The operation portion accepts operation by a user. The operation sensing portion senses operation on the operation portion. The human detecting portion detects the presence of a human body within a previously set detection distance. The sensing period adjusting portion adjusts a operation sensing period of the operation sensing portion based on the detection distance of the human detecting portion.
