An information processing apparatus has a display device, a touch panel, a communication device, and a controller. A default icon is displayed on the display device as a startup icon. Function information is received from the image processing apparatus, the function information indicating multiple functions of the image processing apparatus. When a particular status is occurring in relation to at least one of the multiple functions, particular status information is received from the image processing apparatus, the particular status information indicating the particular status and display the startup icon displayed on the display device to a function icon corresponding to the received particular status information, and display a status icon indicating the particular status.

PREDICTED PRINT MATERIAL USAGE ADJUSTMENT

The location of a printing device is determined. Environmental conditions in which the printing device operated when printing a print job are determined based on the determined location. An environmental adjustment factor for the printing device is determined based on the determined environmental conditions. A predicted print material usage of the printing device in printing the print job is adjusted based on the determined environmental adjustment factor.

A printing apparatus includes a feeding units, a detecting unit, a designating unit, and a control unit. The detecting unit detects a respective operation on each of the feeding units. The designating unit designates, in response to a user operation via a display, which of the feeding units is to be used for printing. The control unit executes, in response to a command to execute predetermined printing, a process based on a first feeding unit on which an operation has been last detected by the detecting unit and a second feeding unit designated by the designating unit. Based on that the first and second feeding units are different, the control unit displays, as the process, a predetermined screen on the display. Based on that the first and second feeding units are the same, the control unit executes, as the process, the predetermined printing on a second feeding unit fed sheet.

An image forming apparatus includes a receiver that receives a first job and a second job in that order, and a controller that suspends, in a case where a predetermined condition for execution of the first job is not satisfied, execution of the first and the second jobs. The controller starts, if it is determined that the first job is a job specified to require the user confirmation for execution of the job, execution of the suspended second job in response to an elapse of a predetermined time period in a state that the predetermined condition is not satisfied, and the controller does not start, if it is determined that the first job is the job specified to require the user confirmation for execution of the job and the predetermined time period elapses in a state that the predetermined condition is not being satisfied, execution of the second job.

Image forming apparatus capable of controlling extension of use of drum cartridge

An image forming apparatus includes an apparatus body, a toner cartridge, a replaceable part, a controller and an apparatus body memory. An operating mode of the controller is set to one of a subscription mode and a normal mode. The controller is configured to perform processes in accordance with the set operating mode. The apparatus body memory is configured to store life information indicating a remaining life of the replaceable part attached to the apparatus body. The controller is configured to switch a control between: a control for allowing an extended use of the replaceable part; and a control for restricting the extended use of the replaceable part, according to the set operating mode. The extended use is defined as use of the replaceable part even after the replaceable part exceeds the remaining life indicated by the life information stored in the apparatus body memory.

In a case where the printing of a plurality of copies based on an original image is to be executed by causing a feeding stage which is set for each of the plurality of copies to perform feeding, a feed operation is controlled so as to stop feeding from a feeding stage which serves as a feed target when a sheet attribute designated in a job and a sheet attribute set in the feeding stage are different from each other.

System and method for displaying color reproduction status on a job scheduling screen

A method, job management apparatus, and computer program product are disclosed for a job management apparatus, the job management apparatus managing a print job for at least one printer, wherein the code computer readable code configured to cause the job management apparatus to display a job scheduling screen. The process includes (a) obtaining first information on a job to be executed by the at least one printer; (b) obtaining second information on color reproduction state of the at least one printer; and (c) generating the job scheduling screen, wherein the job scheduling screen is a two dimensional chart in which a first axis indicates an execution length of time for the job or a number of sheets of paper to be used for the job, and in which a part of a second axis of the two dimensional chart indicates the color reproduction state of the at least one printer.
