Image forming apparatus that displays status of job instructed by user
An image forming apparatus includes a display, an imaging camera, a storage device, and a control device. The imaging camera captures an image of a user around the image forming apparatus. The storage device previously stores face images of users. When an instruction for executing a job is given by a user, the control device causes the image forming apparatus to execute the job instructed. When detecting a face image from the captured image captured by the imaging camera while causing the image forming apparatus to execute a job, the controller determines if the detected face image matches with any of the face images stored in the storage device, approves the face image determined to match, and causes the display to display a status of a waiting-for-execution job that is instructed by the user whom the approved face image indicates and different from the job under execution.
JOB HANDLING WITH TIMING OUT
Systems and methods relate generally to job handling by an information handling system. In an example method thereof, a timeout mode is provided for a job to be processed by the information processing system. A plurality of jobs including the job are queued in a buffer queue of the information processing system. The job is timed out. The job is moved down in the buffer queue in response to the timing out thereof. In an example of another method thereof, the job is canceled in response to the timing out thereof, rather than being moved down in the buffer queue.
Information processing system, and non-transitory computer readable medium
An information processing system includes an information acquisition unit that acquires information on multiple bulletins to be posted in posting locations that are different from each other, a determination unit that determines, based on the information, an order of visitation according to which a worker posting bulletins visits each of the posting locations, and an instruction unit that provides an instruction to output printed matter that accounts for the order of visitation determined.
Print management apparatus capable of allocating a schedule item for step processing to an operation period of a process in accordance with a priority schedule command, print management system, and non-transitory computer readable medium
A print management apparatus includes an allocation unit, a schedule reception unit, and a command reception unit. The allocation unit allocates a schedule item for processing related to generation of a printed material to an operation period of a process for generating the printed material based on print information. The schedule reception unit receives a change of the allocated schedule item from an operator or receives an addition of a schedule item for processing related to the generation of the printed material from the operator. The command reception unit receives a command for prioritizing one of a new schedule item obtained as a result of the change or the addition and an existing schedule item as a command for processing to be performed when the new schedule item partially or entirely overlaps with the existing schedule item.
Image recording apparatus and image recording job grouping method
A controller is configured to store a received print job in a RAM or an EEPROM, determine whether to group multiple print jobs in response to receipt of input to an input I/F, obtain device status information in response to determine to grouping the multiple print jobs, generate size information and sheet information matching to the device status information as a group key, group the multiple print jobs including size information and sheet information matching the group key, and display the group, in a selectable manner, as a subject of image recording on a display.
PERFORM IMAGE FORMING OPERATIONS BASED ON EMERGENCY
A method of operating an image forming apparatus includes receiving a request to perform an image forming operation, performing a calibration operation based on obtained urgency level information in response to the request, when a condition to perform a calibration is determined to be satisfied, the urgency level indicating a level of urgency to perform the image forming operation and the calibration is to standardize standardizing color representation of the image to be formed, and performing the image forming operation after the calibration operation is performed.
SERVER, CONTROL METHOD THEREFOR, AND NON-TRANSITORY STORAGE MEDIUM
A server for receiving a print job from a print service that has received the print job from an information processing apparatus is provided. The server includes an access unit configured to access the print service, a condition management unit configured to manage a condition concerning access to the print service, an access management unit configured to manage a status of past access to the print service, and a determination unit configured to determine, based on the status of past access, whether the condition is not to be satisfied by newly accessing the print service. In a case where it is determined that the condition is not to be satisfied, the access unit does not newly access the print service.
Systems and methods of distributed printing for use with automated robotic sorting
A system of distributed printing for use with automated robotic sorting has at least one work cell including a robotic sorting station, and a plurality of locations that receive sorted items from the robotic sorting station, with each of the plurality of locations having a separate printer. Each printer is configured to print labels related to items received by the respective location, wherein the printers in the work cell are configured in a network that receives data relating to the labels to be printed in the respective locations. Also included is a method of using the system and operating the automated robotic sorting station to place items in the plurality of locations, and sending data to the work cell relating to the labels to be printed in the respective plurality of locations by the separate printers and in association with the items received by the respective plurality of locations.
Image forming system that transmits print job to transfer destination determined out of plurality of image forming apparatuses, and image forming method
An image forming system includes a terminal device, a management apparatus, and a plurality of image forming apparatuses. The terminal device includes a first controller that generates a print job, and transmits the print job to the management apparatus. The management apparatus includes a storage queue, and a second controller that stores the print job in the storage queue upon receipt thereof, determines one of the image forming apparatuses that completes a printing operation based on the print job most rapidly, as transfer destination, on a basis of printing ability of each of the image forming apparatuses, and transmits the print job to the image forming apparatus determined as the transfer destination. The image forming apparatuses each include an image forming device, and a third controller that causes the image forming device to execute the printing operation based on the print job, upon receipt thereof.
Information processing apparatus to display print attribute of multiple groups on identical display and non-transitory computer readable medium
An information processing apparatus includes a processor configured to, in a case where a print attribute is set for each of multiple groups each having a single page or multiple pages, display the groups and the print attribute on an identical display.
