A print setting corresponding to a folder referable by an external apparatus is stored in an image formation apparatus, storage of a file in the folder is detected, the detected file is moved to a storage area in the image formation apparatus, and a print job is generated based on the moved file and information about the print setting corresponding to the detected folder.

A method, at a terminal having at least one associated graphical user interface(s)(GUI)(s), comprising: receiving input data, at one or more I/O device(s) associated with and communicatively connected to the terminal, selecting one or more file object(s) displayed on the at least one associated graphical user interface(s); retrieving, from a database stored on a computer-readable medium, parameters associated with one or more criteria for performing a sequence of one or more commands; accessing properties of file(s) associated with the one or more file objects; comparing the properties of the file(s) with the parameters associated with one or more criteria to determine which criteria are met; retrieving, from a database stored on a computer-readable medium, sequences of one or more commands to be performed under specified conditions; and calculating and initiating the appropriate sequence of commands. A terminal, system, and computer readable medium are also disclosed.

A print job transmission device includes a print job generator to generate a print job on a basis of a PDF file that exists under a hot folder, and a print job transmitter to transmit the print job generated by the print job generator. The print job transmitter obtains an IP address and a port number of a destination of the print job based on the PDF file from a folder name of the hot folder in an upper hierarchy of this PDF file, on a basis of a specific rule.

An image forming apparatus of the present invention acquires information of printing setting that can be executed by a printing instruction apparatus, and then determines whether or not printing setting described in the printing setting information is executable in the printing instruction apparatus, on the basis of the acquisition result. Then, when determining that the printing setting is not executable, the image forming apparatus changes the contents of the printing setting in the printing setting information to printing setting suitable for the image forming apparatus.

A computer-readable storage medium storing a program that causes a computer to execute a process, the process includes receiving a first identifier that is input when an application is used on a terminal; identifying, in accordance with the received first identifier, a storage that is associated with the first identifier and that stores file information; transmitting to the identified storage an acquisition request to acquire part or all of the file information stored in the storage; transmitting to the terminal a list of the part or all of the file information transmitted from the storage in response to the acquisition request; receiving from the terminal an item of file information selected from the list of the part or all of the file information; acquiring a file corresponding to the received item of file information from the storage; and transmitting the acquired file to a print server that performs printing processing.

Systems and methods are provided for managing a print job archive. The system includes a plurality of databases that store print job properties, wherein at least one database is designated to record the print job properties as a function of a predetermined characteristic of the print job. The system also includes an interface that receives multiple print jobs, and a data distribution module coupled with the plurality of databases and the interface. For each of the multiple print jobs, the data distribution module categorizes the print job based on at least one predetermined characteristic, identifies a database among the plurality of databases that is designated for the print jobs as a function of the at least one predetermined characteristic, and stores the print jobs in the identified database as a function of the at least one predetermined characteristic.

In one example, a method includes obtaining a set of extended reality experience information associated with an extended reality experience where the set of extended reality experience information is indicative of an expected extended reality experience for an object type, obtaining a set of object property information of a first object of the object type, obtaining a set of haptic device capability information of a wearable haptic device used to interact with the first object, determining, based on the set of object property information and the set of haptic device capability information, an actual extended reality experience for the object type, and initiating, based on a determined delta between the expected extended reality experience for the object type and the actual extended reality experience for the object type, a message configured to cause a printing of a second object of the object type for the extended reality experience.

A printer includes: a printer storage unit storing a sub hot folder that is given a folder name including a keyword corresponding to a print condition and is thus associated with the print condition; and a printer control unit preparing the sub hot folder and causing the printer storage unit to store the prepared sub hot folder. The printer control unit accepts an input of the folder name, and prepares the sub hot folder given the accepted folder name and causes the printer storage unit to store the sub hot folder when the sub hot folder associated with the same print condition as the print condition corresponding to the keyword included in the accepted folder name is not stored in the printer storage unit.

A PC that is communicatable with a server device. The PC includes: a PC memory storing a first application; and a PC processor. The PC processor functions as, by executing the first application, a registration unit configured to register a printer, a generation unit configured to automatically generate, for the printer registered by the registration unit, a hot folder for storing a print job transmitted from the server device, and a notification unit configured to notify the server device of path information indicating a folder path of the hot folder generated by the generation unit.
