An information processing apparatus includes a user list providing unit configured to receive device identification information from a current device connected via a network and to send, to the current device, a user list including one or more user identifiers that are stored in a storage unit in association with the received device identification information; and a program list providing unit configured to receive a user identifier that is selected at the current device from the user identifiers in the user list and to send, to the current device, a program list including sets of program information stored in the storage unit in association with the received user identifier.

An image forming apparatus is provided with a storage, a controller, an image forming part, a first interface configured to receive an image forming job, and a second interface to which a portable storage device is connectable. When the particular storing function is enabled, image data is stored in the portable storage in response to receipt of the print job, and an image is formed in accordance with the image data stored in the portable storage. A printer may include a controller configured to: in a case where a predetermined instruction is obtained from a user under a situation where a service state of the printer for receiving a print job providing service from a server is a disabled state, shift the service state from the disabled state to an enabled state; in a case where a registration instruction to register printer information related to the printer in the server is obtained, send the printer information to the server; in a case where the registration instruction is obtained under the situation where the service state is the disabled state, shift the service state from the disabled state to the enabled state without obtaining the predetermined instruction from the user.

A printer may include a controller configured to: in a case where a predetermined instruction is obtained from a user under a situation where a service state of the printer for receiving a print job providing service from a server is a disabled state, shift the service state from the disabled state to an enabled state; in a case where a registration instruction to register printer information related to the printer in the server is obtained, send the printer information to the server; in a case where the registration instruction is obtained under the situation where the service state is the disabled state, shift the service state from the disabled state to the enabled state without obtaining the predetermined instruction from the user.

A system and method for document processing includes a controller configured for digital control of multifunction peripheral operations. The controller detects a portable data device and receives configuration data through a near field communication interface. The controller selectively enables of document processing operations of the MFP as specified by received configuration data. The controller generates an active display on a touch screen control panel in accordance with the received configuration data and receives user selection data via the active display on the touch screen control panel. The controller commences a document processing operation in accordance with received user selection data.

According to an embodiment, an image processing apparatus includes a display unit, an operation unit, a processing unit, a storage unit, and a control unit. The display unit is configured to display an operation screen on which a processing mode and setting information may be selected. The operation unit is configured to receive an operation instruction from the operation screen displayed on the display unit and to transmit a processing job based on the operation instruction. The processing unit is configured to execute a process based on the processing job received from the operation unit. The storage unit is configured to store use history information indicating the processing jobs. The control unit is configured to customize the operation screen according to the use history information stored by the storage unit and cause the display unit to display the customized operation screen.

A printing process system includes processing circuitry configured to render content to generate image data to be used for displaying the content by a web browser; accept a print instruction to print out the content, which is displayed by the web browser by using the generated image data, the print instruction being input by a user via a display device coupled to the printing process system; and convert the image data, which is the same as the image data used for displaying the content by the web browser, into page description language data, and output the page description language data to a printer configured to output printed matter on which an image, which matches an image of the content displayed by the web browser, is printed based on the page description language data.

An image forming apparatus includes a user interface, circuitry, and an image forming device. The user interface receives, from an applicant, an instruction for selecting a desired application form having an entry field in which personal information is to be entered, and receives an input of individual authentication information of the applicant. The circuitry unlocks an IC card based upon the individual authentication information of the applicant to acquire personal information of the applicant from the IC card, and generates an application form for output from a template of the selected application form and the personal information acquired from the IC card. The image forming device outputs the generated application form.

A server apparatus providing a cloud print service that receives a print job and causes an image forming apparatus to perform print processing for the received print job, the server apparatus including: a first reception unit configured to receive a print job from a client terminal or another server apparatus that provides another cloud print service; a second reception unit configured to receive instructions to change setting of the print job received by the first reception unit, the instructions being given via the image forming apparatus; and a notification unit configured to notify the other server apparatus of contents of the instructions in a case where the instructions received by the second reception unit are instructions for the print job received by the first reception unit from the other server apparatus.
