Consumable component identifiers
An example print device may comprise a consumable component comprising a human-indiscernible hardware-based identifier. The example print device may also comprise a sensor to read the human-indiscernible hardware-based identifier.
Wireless tag reader apparatus and wireless tag reading method
According to an embodiment, a wireless tag reader apparatus includes a reader and a processor. The reader acquires the position information of the wireless tag based on the phase difference between the carrier waves and the response waves transmitted and received by the first antenna and the second antenna. The processor determines whether or not the wireless tag is in the predetermined zone based on the position information acquired by the reader.
Optical reading device
Even if a size of a read image is large, a code search process can be speeded up to enable immediate output of a decoding result. Each time a predetermined number of lines of image data is taken, a pre-processing circuit executes pre-processing on the image data and calculates a characteristic amount indicating the likelihood of the code for each area in the image data. A processor determines a code candidate area based on the acquired characteristic amount and executes a decoding process of the determined area to generate a decoding result.
Installation support device and installation support method for stationary code reader
Recommended installation position and posture of a stationary code reader can be proposed to a user to facilitate installation work of the code reader by the user. An installation support device for the stationary code reader acquires camera information including a camera parameter of the code reader, code information to be read, and environment information including a conveying speed of a line, determines required field of view and depth of the code reader required to read a code under an environment specified by the environment information, and determines an installation pattern which is recommended installation position and posture of the code reader that can satisfy the required field of view and depth based on the camera information and the code information.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR TESTING IOT TAGS
A system and a method for testing a wireless tag that has an antenna for wireless communication and employs a low energy wireless communication protocol. The system includes a near field antenna; and a fixture for positioning the wireless tag to be tested so that the at least one antenna for wireless communication of the at least one wireless tag to be tested is within a near field of the near field antenna of the system; wherein when the wireless tag is positioned by the fixture, it is within an at least a partly open chamber. The method comprises supplying, via the near field antenna of the system, a test signal for receipt by the antenna of the wireless tag; and comparing a received signal strength of a response from the wireless tag in response to the test signal to an expected benchmark.
IMAGE FORMING DEVICE AND WARNING METHOD
An image forming device includes a wireless tag communication device and a controller. The wireless tag communication device is configured to acquire identification information to identify a wireless tag from the wireless tag provided in a sheet. The controller is configured to acquire dispensing information required to write to the wireless tag and perform a warning process by using the acquired dispensing information and the acquired identification information, upon the dispensing condition not being satisfied.
INVENTORY TRACKING
An inventory system is provided herein, comprising a first inventory system unit and a second inventory system unit. The first inventory system unit comprises at least a configuration transmitter to generate a configuration field inside a first field zone to configure one or more UHF RFID tags within said first field zone into a configured state deviating from a default state. The second inventory system unit therein comprises at least an interrogation transceiver to generate an interrogation field inside a second field zone that is at least partly outside said first field zone to subsequently interrogate a set of one or more UHF RFID tags that are within said second field zone and that are in the configured state as a result of being configured by the configuration transmitter.
CONSUMABLE COMPONENT IDENTIFIERS
An example print device may comprise a consumable component comprising a human-indiscernible hardware-based identifier. The example print device may also comprise a sensor to read the human-indiscernible hardware-based identifier.
Conveyor
A conveyor includes a first conveyor belt with a first surface along which an article is conveyed in a conveyance direction from an upstream end to a downstream end, The first surface has an upstream end and a downstream end along the conveyance direction. A second conveyor belt is directly downstream of the first conveyor belt in the conveyance direction and has a second surface along which the article is conveyed in the conveyance direction from an upstream end to a downstream end. The downstream end of the first surface is at a height greater than the upstream end of the second surface. A first reading unit is positioned to read a symbol on the article through a gap left between the first and second conveyor belts.
REFILLABLE PET BOTTLE CODIFICATION FOR CONTAINER LIFECYCLE TRACEABILITY
A polymeric container including a code unique to the container that identifies the container. The code is on an inner surface of the container or on an outer surface of the container.
