CAMERA MONITORING METHOD
20210129348 · 2021-05-06 ·

A method for monitoring operation of at least one camera observing a scenery includes the steps of: a) producing (S1) a moving pattern within a field of view of the camera; b) detecting a change (S2) in successive images from the camera; and c) determining (S4) that the camera is not in order if no change is detected.

Automatic adjusting of day-night sensitivity for motion detection in audio/video recording and communication devices

An audio/video (A/V) recording and communication device includes a camera, a passive infrared (PIR) sensor, and a light sensor. A method receives a PIR sensor output signal from the PIR sensor, receives image data from the camera, and receives a light sensor output signal from the light sensor. The method determines, using the light sensor output signal and at least one of the PIR sensor output signal and the image data whether to activate recording of the image data, and upon determining to activate recording of the image data, generates an alert. The method transmits the alert to a client device associated with the A/V recording and communication device.

A method for mitigating a potential security issue with one or more electric and gas cooking appliances equipped with a power interrupt circuit and capable of receiving a wireless signal operated in a monitored space includes conducting video and or audio surveillance of the cooking equipment and the surrounding monitored space using a surveillance device having wireless communications capability, where upon detection of anomaly characterized as motion, sound, or other interference that may be defined by the surveillance device as a security issue, conducting analysis of the data in comparison with archived data to disqualify or qualify the anomaly as a security issue, whereupon qualifying the anomaly detected and analyzed as a security threat, sending a wireless command to the power interrupt circuit to interrupt electric power flow to the one or more electric cooking appliances.

EMERGENCY ALERT SYSTEMS WITH PERIMETER MONITORING

Aspects discussed herein relate to monitoring a perimeter of a geographic area and generating alerts when a breach of the perimeter is detected. When there is a breach in a perimeter or border there are two major problems authorities generally experience. First, problems exist regarding tracking the intruder and determining if the user has actually breached the perimeter. Second, problems exist identifying and sending the closest resources to address the issue. Systems and methods described herein can identify and track intruders crossing a border or perimeter, then creating an alerting area within proximity of the intruder and sending alerts to resources within the alerting area. This is ideal when resources are limited or stretched thin. The alerts can override any alert-inhibiting state of the mobile device to deliver audio, visual, and/or haptic notifications.

OBJECT DETECTION BASED ON OBJECT RELATION

Various embodiments described herein provide for detection of a particular object within a scene depicted by image data by using a coarse-to-fine approach/strategy based on one or more relationships of objects depicted within the scene.

Sensor for capturing image and method for controlling the same

According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, an electronic device may comprise an image sensor and one or more processors configured to obtain a first plurality of image frames for an external object as per a first frame rate, detect a variation associated with the external object, when the variation meets a designated condition, obtain a second plurality of image frames for the external object as per the first frame rate or a second frame rate, generate a first portion of a video using at least some of the first plurality of image frames, generate a second portion of the video using at least some of the second plurality of image frames, and generate a third portion of the video using at least some of a third plurality of image frames for the external object obtained as per the first frame rate or a third frame rate.

VISUAL-BASED SECURITY COMPLIANCE PROCESSING

Multiple cameras capture videos within a secure room. When individuals are detected as entering the room, identities of the individuals are resolved. When an asset is exposed in a field of view of one of the cameras, the individuals' eye and head movements are tracked from the videos with respect to one another and the asset. Additionally, touches made by any of the individuals on the asset are tracked from the videos. The eye and head movements are correlated with the touches or lack of touches according to a security policy for the asset. Any violations of the security policy are written to a secure audit log for the room and the asset.

User-configurable person detection system, method and apparatus

A system, method and apparatus for configuring a person detection sensor. The person detection sensor may limit its transmissions in accordance with a pre-configured dwell time. The person detection sensor may receive a new dwell time from a remote device. When the new dwell time is received, it is stored in memory and is then used to regulate the number of transmissions of the person detection sensor in accordance with the new dwell time.

System and method for pulsed light pattern capturing using a dynamic vision sensor

A pulsed image capturing system includes a pulse generation circuit, a dynamic vision sensor (DVS), and a DVS scanning and readout circuit. A global reset signal is transmitted to pixels of the DVS to set a reference illumination level for the pixels, and then a pulsed light pattern is generated. A global hold signal is transmitted to the pixels, after the pulsed light pattern is generated, to hold an illumination change event indicating a change with respect to the reference illumination level. A DVS scanning and readout operation is performed on event signals received from the pixels, after the global hold signal is transmitted to the pixels. A reflection of the pulsed light pattern is extracted from the DVS output after cleaning artifacts from the DVS output without additional image processing.
