A camera assembly may include a camera and one or more heat sinks configured to dissipate heat generated by the camera. The heat sinks being in thermal contact with a printed circuit board including the camera. A housing of the camera assembly may be configured to maintain the camera in a fixed position while the camera assembly is mounted on a medical device such as a dispensing cabinet. The camera in the fixed position may have a deterministic field of view that includes a first area in which interactions with the medical device and adjacent medical devices occurs or is expected to occur. The deterministic field of view of the camera may further exclude a second area where surveillance is unsuitable, prohibited, and/or unnecessary. Images captured by the camera may be analyzed to detect anomalous behavior such as diversion, medical error, hazardous behavior, and protocol noncompliance.

ACTIVE SHOOTER MONITORING AND INCAPACITATION SYSTEM

Provided is a an active shooter monitoring and incapacitation system that can augment active security forces control during emergencies at schools, churches, military, and government institutions. The system includes one or more cameras that are controlled remotely by an operator. If a hostile person or active shooter is located, a warning system, such as an audio/visual alert and laser dazzler is activated to alert nearby people of the threat to vacate and to notify the active shooter that he/she is required to halt any hostile actions. If the hostile person does not cease his activities, one or more stun guns contained within the system are then utilized to incapacitate the active shooter with a large electric shock, thereby incapacitating the person until the authorities arrive.

Image-Capturing Doorbell Device

This document describes an image-capturing doorbell device. In aspects, the image-capturing doorbell device provides a compact, space-efficient, battery-powered, doorbell camera. The architecture of the image-capturing doorbell device is optimized by concentrating sensors at one end of the device and user input mechanism(s) at the opposing end of the device and including a thin and narrow middle portion between the two opposing ends. The sensors include an image sensor and a PIR sensor mounted to the same PCB for space conservation. A camera lens protrudes from an outer surface of an IR window aligned with IR LEDs to mitigate IR flare. The PIR sensor is aligned with a lens that enhances radial motion detection by implementing two stacked rows of lenslets. The user input mechanism includes a light ring formed via a two-shot molding technique with a button to bond the light ring to the button for enhanced waterproofing.

A detector includes a housing having a window. A detection engine is configured to detect an event external to the housing. A battery is connected to the detection engine and configured to supply power thereto. A solar cell is configured to generate electricity when exposed to a light received through the window. The solar cell is arranged in the housing and electrically connected to the battery.

Computer-vision-based object tracking and guidance module

An apparatus comprises a mount body by which the apparatus is secured to a structure. A camera assembly includes an image sensor adapted to capture images within its field of view. A lighting assembly houses one or more light sources including a directional light source. A control-board assembly, fixed to the mount body, houses control boards including one or more processors configured to acquire information about an object, to associate a location within the field of view of the image sensor with the object, to point light emitted by the directional light source at the location associated with the object by rotating the lighting assembly and turning the laser assembly, and, based on an image acquired from the camera assembly, to detect change within the field of view of the image sensor corresponding to placement or removal of the object.

Thermal imaging camera device

An improved camera system includes an uncooled thermal imaging sensor, a rotary actuator, a rotary encoder, and a slip ring. The rotary actuator is physically coupled to the uncooled thermal imaging sensor and enables the sensor to rotate a full 360 degrees any number of times relative to the system's horizontal base. Through the use of the slip ring, the sensor and the sensor's wiring can rotate freely without impedance. Notably, the sensor's wiring can be disposed through a central through-hole running the length of the rotary actuator. Therefore, prior to reaching the slip ring, the sensor and its wiring rotate in unison with the rotary actuator. The encoder is structured to monitor the angular position of the sensor in order to accurately determine where the sensor is being aimed.

A system for non-contact body temperature determination includes a temperature sensor unit having a temperature sensor configured to detect a body temperature of a human subject within a field of view of the temperature sensor. The system also includes a computing device having a user interface and configured to wirelessly communicate with the temperature sensor unit, to receive body temperature information from the temperature sensor unit, and to display the body temperature information to a user. In some embodiments, the system includes a video doorbell assembly having a doorbell button, a microphone, a speaker, and an optical camera. Also disclosed is a method of determining a body temperature of a visitor at a building entrance equipped with a video doorbell.

Cloud-based video monitoring

One embodiment of the present invention provides a cloud-based video monitoring system comprising a camera and a network video recorder (NVR). During operation, the camera stores in a buffer last predetermined temporal segment of a video. The camera also stores a first video file in a local storage corresponding to an event detected by the camera. This first video file is non-overlapping with a second video file corresponding to the event and this second video file is stored in the NVR. The camera generates a third video file by pre-pending last predetermined temporal segment of a video prior to the event to the first video file and sends the third video file to the NVR.

Security camera installation systems and methods

Various embodiments of the present disclosure may include an imaging system that includes a base module, a camera module, an interface plate, and a locking ring. The base module may be mounted on the interface plate via one or more quick release fasteners. The camera module may then be coupled to the base module and one or more blind mate connectors may allow for the camera of the camera module to quickly connector with the base module and communicate data and/or power. A locking ring may then be coupled (e.g., threaded) onto the base module over the camera module to secure the camera module to the base module.
