Device, system and method for controlling a communication device to provide notifications of successful documentation of events

A device, system and method for controlling a communication device to provide notifications of successful documentation of events is provided. The device receives a type of a recognized event occurring at a location of an edge device. The device determines, based on the type of the recognized event, one or more multimedia data types for collection to document the recognized event. The device causes the edge device to collect multimedia data of the one or more multimedia data types. The device receives an indication that the multimedia data has been stored successfully. The device determines whether the multimedia data has successfully documented the recognized event. When the multimedia data has successfully documented the recognized event, the device controls the edge device to provide a notification of successful documentation of the recognized event.

Detection device, detection method, robot, and program

A detection device includes a detection unit configured to detect a moving object by using a ranging sensor able to detect the presence of a moving object movable in the target area, a determination unit configured to determine whether or not the detected moving object is a human being by using a human detection sensor able to detect a human being, and an authentication unit configured to perform authentication of the detected moving object in a case that the detected moving object is determined to be a human being. The authentication unit includes an authentication information request unit configured to request the moving object to transmit authentication information by wireless communication, and an authentication determination unit configured to determine whether or not the moving object has the right of access based on a result of the wireless communication.

An apparatus includes a video capture device and a processor. The video capture device may be mounted at a low position. The video capture device may be configured to generate a plurality of video frames that capture a field of view upward from the low position. The processor may be configured to perform video operations to generate dewarped frames from the video frames and detect objects in the dewarped frames, extract data about the objects based on characteristics of the objects determined using said video operations, perform path planning in response the extracted data and generate a video stream based on the dewarped frames. The video operations may generate the dewarped frames to correct a distortion effect caused by capturing the video frames from the low position. The path planning may be used to move the apparatus to a new location. The apparatus may be capable of autonomous movement.
