An imaging system includes a stationary imager. An opaque enclosure includes a plurality of apertures at different locations on the enclosure and a plurality of stationary beam splitters arranged within the enclosure such that light that enters the enclosure through each of the apertures is directed to the imager. A shutter unit includes an opaque surface that includes at least one window. The shutter unit is rotatable relative to the enclosure such the window is sequentially aligned with each of the apertures to enable light from a field of view to enter the enclosure through that aperture, the opaque surface preventing light from concurrently entering the enclosure through more than one of the apertures.

Imaging system for immersive surveillance

Security guards at big facilities, such as airports, monitor multiple screens that display images from individual surveillance cameras dispersed throughout the facility. If a guard zooms with a particular camera, he will lose image resolution, along with perspective on the surrounding area. Embodiments of the inventive Imaging System for Immersive Surveillance (ISIS) solve these problems by combining multiple cameras in one device. When properly mounted, example ISIS systems offer 360-degree, 100-megapixel views on a single screen. (Other resolutions may also be employed.) Image-stitching software merges multiple video feeds into one scene. The system also allows operators to tag and follow targets, and can monitor restricted areas and sound an alert when intruders breach them.

Lens detection method and lens detection system used for detecting type of externally connected lens

A lens detection system includes a system chip, and the system chip includes a first lens selection pin and a protocol path pin. A lens detection method includes performing a reset step by the system chip; enabling the first lens selection pin by the system chip; detecting a first lens identification code via the protocol path pin by the system chip; loading first lens data by the system chip and entering a first lens operation mode for controlling an externally connected first lens if the first lens identification code is detected; and disabling the first lens selection pin by the system chip if the first lens identification code is undetected.
