Security systems having evasive sensors
Networks of cameras and/or other sensors enable a sensor monitoring system or other computer system to control hiding devices used to enable the cameras and/or other sensors to evade danger by hiding or being disguised. Detection and/or determination of potential danger is garnered from data, from some of the cameras and/or sensors, that they or other of the cameras and/or sensors may be facing eminent danger of discovery, manipulation, alteration, deactivation, and/or damage. The hiding devices are caused to hide or disguise the sensors and/or cameras that appear to be in danger. Hiding or disguising can continue for at least a finite duration of time, or until indication of danger is gone. Some of the cameras and/or other sensors, and their associated hiding devices, can be turned off or made to sleep for periods of time until at least awaken by time-out events or by events indicating a need to do so.
CONTROL APPARATUS, CONTROL METHOD, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
A control apparatus includes an acquisition unit that acquires selection information for selecting, based on a detection result of a sensor, an image capturing device that captures an image to be displayed and/or stored by a terminal device from among a plurality of image capturing devices, and a control unit that performs control in such a manner that a communication amount related to a captured image from an image capturing device that is unlikely to be selected from among the plurality of image capturing devices based on the acquired selection information becomes less than a communication amount related to a captured image from an image capturing device that is likely to be selected based on the acquired selection information.
SYSTEMS, APPARATUSES AND METHODS FOR MULTIPLEXING AND SYNCHRONIZING AUDIO RECORDINGS
Techniques for multiplexing audio recordings. Systems and methods for multiplexing and synchronizing audio recordings using data markers in the recorded files.
SMART TRACKING VIDEO RECORDER
Various systems and methods for processing video are described herein. A system comprises a storage device; a processor; and a memory, including instructions, which when executed on the processor, cause the processor to: receive a time interval, the time interval divided into a plurality of segments; access from the storage device, a plurality of video clips, each of the plurality of video clips including a timestamp; for each of the plurality of segments in the time interval, determine a candidate video clip of the plurality of video clips, the candidate video clip including a subject in the candidate video clip; compose an output video that includes the candidate video clip of each segment of the plurality of segments; and output the output video to a display.
REMOTE SECURITY SYSTEM AND METHOD
A remote security system and method for securing a workstation including a display within a space may comprise at least one image capture device, at least one lock mechanism configured to cooperate with an entrance to the space, and at least one network access security device configured to cooperate with the workstation. The system may comprise internal components configured to cooperate with external components including a processor configured to determine from a captured image the presence of an unauthorized person, device, or activity. The captured image may be processed and annotated using an artificial intelligence modality.
USING A DYNAMIC NUMBER OF POWER SOURCES FOR A CAMERA MOUNTABLE ON RETAIL SHELVING UNIT
A mobile power source is provided. The mobile power source includes a housing configured to retain at least one battery. The housing includes first and second guiding channels configured to engage with a track associated with a retail shelving unit. The mobile power source further includes a first electrical connector configured to electrically connect the mobile power source to a control unit for an image capture device; a second electrical connector configured to electrically connect the mobile power source to an additional mobile power source or a power grid; and circuitry configured to convey power from the additional mobile power source to the image capture device when the mobile power source is connected to the additional mobile power source, and to convey power from the power grid to the image capture device when the mobile power source is connected to the power grid.
Surveillance camera system looking at passing cars
An apparatus including an interface and a processor. The interface may be configured to receive video frames. The processor may be configured to perform video operations on the video frames to detect objects in the video frames, detect a license plate and a driver of the vehicle based on the objects detected in the video frames, detect a use of an electronic device by the driver and generate a notification signal. The notification signal may comprise data to enable correlating the driver using the electronic device in the vehicle with the license plate. The notification signal may be generated if the use of the electronic device is unauthorized. The processor may comprise a dedicated hardware module configured to perform feature detection to calculate descriptors for determining a likelihood that pixels of the video frames belong to the objects that correspond to the use of the electronic device by the driver.
PORTABLE DIGITAL VIDEO CAMERA CONFIGURED FOR REMOTE IMAGE ACQUISITION CONTROL AND VIEWING
A wearable digital video camera (10) is equipped with wireless connection protocol and global navigation and location positioning system technology to provide remote image acquisition control and viewing. The Bluetooth® packet-based open wireless technology standard protocol (400) is preferred for use in providing control signals or streaming data to the digital video camera and for accessing image content stored on or streaming from the digital video camera. The GPS technology (402) is preferred for use in tracking of the location of the digital video camera as it records image information. A rotating mount (300) with a locking member (330) on the camera housing (22) allows adjustment of the pointing angle of the wearable digital video camera when it is attached to a mounting surface.
COMPUTER-IMPLEMENTED METHOD, COMPUTER PROGRAM AND APPARATUS FOR GENERATING A VIDEO STREAM RECOMMENDATION
A computer-implemented method of generating a video stream recommendation comprises identifying a plurality of peripheral devices monitoring zones of a physical area, the peripheral devices comprising a plurality of video cameras providing video streams of at least some of the monitored zones. The method further comprises querying a knowledge graph representing the peripheral devices and the monitored zones as ontology entities connected by edges representing physical paths between the monitored zones, and by edges representing which monitored zones the peripheral devices monitor, in order to identify a set of one or more video camera(s) monitoring zones other than a selected monitored zone, as a result of the querying. The method then comprises generating a video stream recommendation based on the result of the querying.
