SURVEILLANCE SYSTEM, SURVEILLANCE NETWORK CONSTRUCTION METHOD, AND PROGRAM
A surveillance system (1) includes an area information acquisition unit (101), a request information provision unit (102), and a participation consent reception unit (103). The area information acquisition unit (101) acquires information of a surveillance-desired area. The request information provision unit (102) provides participation request information for surveillance that is conducted by using an image capturing unit of a portable terminal in the surveillance-desired area. The participation consent reception unit (103) receives participation consent as a response to the participation request information, from the portable terminal.
SETTING ASSISTANCE DEVICE, SETTING ASSISTANCE METHOD, AND PROGRAM RECORDING MEDIUM
A setting assistance device includes an acquisition unit, a calculation unit and a determination unit. The acquisition unit acquires coordinates designated by a user for an image capturing a three-dimensional space. The calculation unit calculates coordinates of a position located at a predetermined distance from a position of a part of the three-dimensional space relating to the acquired coordinates. The determination unit determines a region set for the acquired coordinates based on the calculated coordinates.
VIDEO SURVEILLANCE APPARATUS AND METHOD
A video surveillance apparatus determines a field of view of a video surveillance camera (110) having a sensor (120) mounted thereon. A distance measuring means is configured to obtain a plurality of distance measurements based on data received from the sensor (120). A field of view determining means is configured to determine, based on the plurality of distance measurements, the field of view of the camera (110).

Security system for identifying disturbances in a building
A security system that includes a camera, a monitor, and a storage compartment for a defensive instrument installed in a room in a building. The storage compartment is associated with a camera that can record video and audio of occurrences or happenings in the room. The storage compartment is configured to communicate with a mobile device via a communications protocol and is electronically associated with at least two activation mechanisms: one that is activated for non-emergency situations, and another that is active for emergency situations. In both cases, the camera is direct to record video and audio of the situation, but in the emergency situation, the camera transmits the video and audio to other parts of the building to provide individuals located therein with real time information regarding the emergency situation. The second activation mechanism further provides access to a defensive instrument that is located in the storage compartment.
MONITORING DEVICE AND MONITORING SYSTEM
Provided is a monitoring system configured such that, even when there is a deviation of a shooting region of a camera, if the deviation is within an acceptable level, an accurate vehicle detection using a recognition model can be performed without readjusting parameters or re-training the model. Based on an image of a no-entry zone and a platform zone, a processor performs a first operation for detecting a person in the no-entry zone and a second operation for detecting a vehicle in the no-entry zone; and based on detection results, determines whether an alert needs to be issued. When there is a deviation of the shooting region of a camera, the processor performs a conversion operation for converting an image of a current shooting region to an image that would be captured by the camera with an original shooting region and uses the converted image for the two detection operations.
Configurable Motion Detection and Alerts for Audio/Video Recording and Communication Devices
Some embodiments provide a method for separating the motion detection zone(s) of an A/V recording and communication device from the motion alert zone(s) of the A/V recording and communication device. For example, an A/V recording and communication device may be configured to generate motion alerts, and to record audio and video footage, when an event is detected within a selected motion alert zone (e.g., within a defined radius around the A/V recording and communication device). However, the A/V recording and communication device may not generate a motion alert for an event detected outside of the selected motion alert zone, even though the device may still record audio and video footage for the detected event (e.g., when the event is within a selected motion detection zone).
SYSTEM FOR MONITORING ACCESS TO A VEHICLE
A system for monitoring access to a vehicle has a control unit, a plurality of sensor devices configured to be fastened to an outer side of the vehicle, are coupled to the control unit and are configured to capture objects in a three-dimensional manner in a field of view of the sensor devices, and at least one signal output device coupled to the control unit. The sensor devices are configured to capture objects in spatial areas predetermined by the relevant sensor devices and to transmit capture data representing the capture of objects to the control unit. The control unit is configured to receive and use the capture data to detect an object approaching a predefined monitoring area covered by the predetermined spatial areas of the sensor devices. The control unit is configured to transmit a control signal to the signal output device if an object is detected.
Information processing device, information processing method, and program
The present technology relates to an information processing device, an information processing method, and a program capable of allowing a user viewing a video of a remote location to be aware of presence of a person who is outside of an angle of field of a video in more appropriate form. An information processing device according to the present technology includes a processing unit, wherein, when, between a first space where a first imaging device and a first display device are installed and a second space where a second imaging device and a second display device are installed, a captured image captured by the imaging device in one of the spaces is displayed by the display device in the other space in real time, the processing unit performs processing to notify first users in the first space that second users are outside of an angle of field of the second imaging device when the second users who are at positions outside of the angle of field of the second imaging device is detected. The present technology can be applied to, for example, a video communication system.
Shopping basket monitoring using computer vision and machine learning
A system for monitoring shopping baskets (e.g., baskets on human-propelled carts, motorized carts, or hand-carried baskets) can include a computer vision unit that can image a surveillance region (e.g., an exit to a store), determine whether a basket is empty or loaded with merchandise, and assess a potential for theft of the merchandise. The computer vision unit can include a camera and an image processor programmed to execute a computer vision algorithm to identify shopping baskets and determine a load status of the basket. The computer vision algorithm can comprise a neural network. The system can identify an at least partially loaded shopping basket that is exiting the store, without indicia of having paid for the merchandise, and execute an anti-theft action, e.g., actuating an alarm, notifying store personnel, activating a store surveillance system, activating an anti-theft device associated with the basket (e.g., a locking shopping cart wheel), etc.
