TIERED MOTION DETECTION FOR VIDEO SURVEILLANCE SYSTEMS
Systems, methods, and software to process tiered motion detection for video surveillance are provided herein. In one implementation, a video processing computing system is configured to identify a request for an object to enter a physical area and select a portion of the physical area available to the object based on the request. The video processing computing system is further configured to monitor movement of the object in the physical area using one or more video streams from one or more cameras and determine that the object moved outside the portion of the physical area available to the object based on the monitored movement. The computing system also generates an alert in response to the determination that the object moved outside the portion of the physical area available to the object.
INTRUSION DETECTION SYSTEM, INTRUSION DETECTION METHOD, AND COMPUTER-READABLE MEDIUM
A setting assistance device includes an acquisition unit, a calculation unit and a determination unit. The acquisition unit acquires coordinates designated by a user for an image capturing a three-dimensional space. The calculation unit calculates coordinates of a position located at a predetermined distance from a position of a part of the three-dimensional space relating to the acquired coordinates. The determination unit determines a region set for the acquired coordinates based on the calculated coordinates.

VIDEO ANALYTICS SYSTEM
A security system can use video analytics and/or other input parameters to identify a theft event. Optionally, the security system can take remedial action in response. For example, the security system can use video analytics to determine that a person has reached into a shelf multiple times at a rate above a threshold, which can indicate that a thief is quickly removing items from the shelf. The security system can also use video analytics to determine that a person has reached into a shelf via a sweeping action, which can indicate that a thief is gathering and removing a large quantity of items from the shelf in one motion. In response, the security system can alert security personnel, cause a speaker to output an audible message in the target area, flag portions of the video relating to the theft event, activate or ready other sensors or systems, and/or the like.

Identifying regions of interest in an imaging field of view
The techniques described herein relate to computerized methods, systems and non-transitory computer-readable media for determining a plurality of regions of interest from an image of a scene for motion detection. The methods can include generating the regions of interest using image segmentation techniques and receiving user selection to designate one or more regions as motion detection zones. The methods can also automatically recommend motion detection zones. The methods can include subsequently capturing one or more images of a scene and performing motion detection in the one or more images of the scene using the designated motion detection zones.
Electronic device, cloud device, client device, and operating methods therefor
An electronic device, a cloud device, a client device, and operating methods therefor are provided. A method of operating an electronic device including a camera module configured to capture a video and having a first state, in which the camera module is activated to capture a video, includes: in response to that an event in one or more types of events is detected, in a case where the electronic device is in the first state, transmitting an alarm message indicating that the event is detected, and transmitting, as an alarm video, a video captured by the camera module after the event is detected; and after the alarm message is transmitted, in response to that an event in the one or more types of events is detected, not transmitting an alarm message indicating that the event is detected but continuing transmitting the video captured by the camera module.
System and method for authorizing movement of entities in monitored zones
A system for authorizing movement of an entity in a zone is described. The system includes a monitoring system and an electronic device associated with an entity. The monitoring system is configured to detect the movement of the entity within the zone and transmit a first encrypted wireless signal. The electronic device is configured to receive the first encrypted wireless signal, decrypt the first encrypted wireless signal, generate a second encrypted wireless signal based on the decryption, and transmit the second encrypted wireless signal to the monitoring system. The monitoring system is configured to receive the second encrypted wireless signal and authenticate the electronic device based on the received second encrypted wireless signal. The monitoring system is configured to authorize the detected movement of the entity upon the authentication of the electronic device and deactivate an alarm or a response device based on the authorization.
Person detection apparatus and method
A system, method and apparatus for detecting the presence of a person in an area monitored by an electronic person detector that may operate both as a security motion sensor and a home automation occupancy sensor.
Intrusion detection method and intrusion detection device
An intrusion detection method includes steps of obtaining a current detection box and a historical detection box of a target in an input image; determining whether the current detection box has an intersection with a security line or a security area; determining that the target has an intrusion behavior if the current detection box has the intersection with the security line or the security area; and determining a direction of intrusion of the target according to the current detection box and the historical detection box.
