Provided is a surveillance system including a communication module configured to receive a plurality of pieces of image data obtained by a plurality of camera modules, receive a multiple image data request from a client terminal, and transmit a multiple image data response including multiple image data to the client terminal; and a processer configured to generate the multiple image data by scaling the plurality of pieces of image data in response to the multiple image data request and combining a plurality of pieces of scaled image data, wherein the plurality of camera modules share one internet protocol (IP) address.

A camera includes an image processor configured to generate an image or a video data, an intelligent processor configured to perform intelligent analysis and to process on the image or the video data, and a communications interface configured to receive, from an external device, configuration information for the camera, where the configuration information extends a function of the camera.

Delivery parcel detection systems can include a doorbell having a first wireless communication system and a parcel holding system configured for placement in an entryway. The doorbell can be communicatively coupled to the parcel holding system. The parcel holding system can comprise a sensor configured to detect a delivery parcel located on the parcel holding system. Systems can include a first communication sent from the parcel holding system to the doorbell in response to the parcel holding system detecting an arrival, a movement, or a removal of the delivery parcel. Systems can also include a second communication sent from the doorbell to a remote computing device in response to the doorbell receiving the first communication.

A security system is provided to integrate a local existing security system with other security and automation devices which may not be compatible with the existing security system. The security system can connect and integrate an existing security system, and provide a centralized point of controlling all existing and new security and automation devices in a premise, thereby allowing flexibility in modifying and expanding a security system in the premise without need of replacing the security system that has been already installed throughout the premise. The security system can at least partially self-program to communicate with an existing security system when the security system is connected to the existing security system.

A video collection system collects and sends metadata related to video data such that recording may be triggered and tagged. The video collection system utilizes a mobile broadband network (such as a cellular network) to send metadata, receive triggers, and perform other functions while the video collection system is in the field. The video collection system broadly comprises a plurality of video cameras and a video collection manager. The video cameras each include a mobile broadband modem or other wireless communication element for sending metadata messages. In some embodiments the mobile broadband modem may also send still images, audio data, and video data.

A delivery monitoring system comprises a portable camera positioned on a delivery person; a camera activation application executed by a mobile electronic device to control a video-generating operation of the portable camera; and a special-purpose processor that outputs a data instruction to an electronic locking device to unlock an entrance to a location for delivering an item by the delivery person only when the portable camera is recording video.

A luminaire includes a terminal block that receives power from a power source, a light source power supply electrically coupled to the terminal block and to a light source, a power converter electrically coupled to the terminal block and to a power over Ethernet injector, a camera coupled to the power over Ethernet injector, and a transceiver electrically coupled to the power converter. The power over Ethernet injector can supply power to and receive data from the camera. The transceiver is also coupled to the power over Ethernet injector and can communicate data to and receive data from the camera.

A mobile video surveillance device includes a camera device configured to capture video images; a transceiver configured to transmit and stream the video images over a network to a video receiving computer for at least one of the following: viewing on a display, viewing on a wireless device, or storage in a database; a video capturing input device configured to receive an input to initiate operation of the camera device and initiate video streaming by the transceiver; a processor configured to control the camera device and the transceiver based on the video capturing input device; a housing configured to house the camera device, the transceiver, the video capturing input device, and the processor; and a movement detection unit configured to detect a movement.
