PROCESSING OF SURVEILLANCE VIDEO STREAMS USING IMAGE CLASSIFICATION AND OBJECT DETECTION
Systems and methods for processing surveillance video streams using image classification and object detection are described. Video data from a video image sensor may be processed using an image classifier to determine whether an object type is present in a video frame. If the object type is present, the video frame and/or subsequent video frames may be processed using an object detector to provide additional object data, such as position information, for use in other video surveillance processes. In some examples, an event message may be generated and sent to a video surveillance application in response to selective object detection.
VIDEO SURVEILLANCE WITH NEURAL NETWORKS
Example methods, apparatus, systems and articles of manufacture (e.g., physical storage media) to implement video surveillance with neural networks are disclosed. Example systems disclosed herein include a database to store records of operator-labeled video segments (e.g., as records of operator-labeled video segments). The operator-labeled video segments include reference video segments and corresponding reference event labels describing the video segments. Disclosed example systems also include a neural network including a first instance of an inference engine, and a training engine to train the first instance of the inference engine based on a training set of the operator-labeled video segments obtained from the database, the first instance of the inference engine to infer events from the operator-labeled video segments included in the training set. Disclosed example systems further include a second instance of the inference engine to infer events from monitored video feeds, the second instance of the inference engine being based on the first instance of the inference engine.
Method and operation of a portable device and a cloud server for preserving the chain of custody for digital evidence
A process for preserving chain of custody for digital evidence captured at a portable device. The portable device transmits a request to upload the digital evidence to the cloud server via an intermediary storage device. The request includes digitally signed evidence metadata with data integrity code and authentication credentials. The portable device receives a response indicating approval to upload the digital evidence to the cloud server via the intermediary storage device. The portable device transmits the digital evidence to the intermediary storage device for uploading to the cloud server, and further transmits a request for approval to delete the digital evidence from the portable device. The portable device deletes the digital evidence only after receiving a response from the cloud server indicating an approval to delete the digital evidence from the portable device.
Monitoring apparatus and system
Provided is a monitoring apparatus including a communication unit which receives streaming data and metadata of a video from each of a plurality of cameras installed indoors when the cameras obtain videos by capturing specific areas, respectively; a metadata analysis unit which analyzes the received metadata and extracts information about an event that occurred; a video selection unit which selects a video containing an area in which the event occurred from the videos based on the extracted information about the event; and a screen unit which receives the selected video from the video selection unit and immediately displays the received video when the monitoring apparatus is operated.
Electronic Monitoring System Having Modified Audio Output
An electronic monitoring system has one or more imaging devices that can detect at least one triggering event comprising sound and motion and a controller that executes a program to categorize the triggering event as being located in a user-defined activity zone within the field of view and/or as being a taxonomic-based triggering event. Upon categorizing the triggering event, the system generates an output comprising a video component and an audio component. At least a portion of the audio component is modified if the triggering event is a categorized triggering event. Modification of the audio may include muting all or a portion of the audio component of the output.
VIDEO SEARCH DEVICE AND NETWORK SURVEILLANCE CAMERA SYSTEM INCLUDING SAME
A network surveillance camera system includes a plurality of cameras configured to photograph a plurality of surveillance areas to acquire video information for the respective surveillance areas and transmit the acquired video information of each surveillance area to each channel, and a video receiving/search device connected to the plurality of cameras via a network and configured to receive the video information from the cameras in real time and search for the transmitted multi-channel video information, wherein the video receiving/search device includes a video search viewer configured to generate a thumbnail image and a metadata tag corresponding to an event of each channel based on video analysis information for each of the channels, display the generated thumbnail image and metadata tag, and search for the transmitted multi-channel video information.
Systems and Methods for Incorporating Passive Wireless Monitoring With Video Surveillance
Various embodiments provide systems and methods for surveillance using a combination of video image capture and passive wireless detection.
MANAGEMENT APPARATUS, MANAGEMENT METHOD, MANAGEMENT SYSTEM, COMPUTER PROGRAM AND RECORDING MEDIUM
A management apparatus manages a target facility to which an optically readable optical information indicating a facility identification information is added. The management apparatus includes: a detection unit that detects the optical information from a first image obtained by imaging the target facility; a determination unit that determines an extraction condition for extracting an extraction image including at least a part of the target facility, on the basis of the first image; and an association unit that associates the facility identification information indicated by the optical information with the determined extraction condition.
Device, system and method for providing indications of a discrepancy between a video and a textual description of an incident
A device, system and method for providing indications of a discrepancy between a video and a textual description of an incident. A public-safety computing device determines a discrepancy between a video of an incident and a textual description of the incident, the textual description being a component of a public-safety incident report associated with the incident. The device, in response to determining the discrepancy, controls a notification device to provide an indication of the discrepancy.
FORENSIC VIDEO RECORDING WITH PRESENCE DETECTION
At a high level, embodiments of the invention relate to augmenting video data with presence data derived from one or more proximity tags. More specifically, embodiments of the invention generate forensically authenticated recordings linking video imagery to the presence of specific objects in or near the recording. One embodiment of the invention includes video recording system comprising a camera, a wireless proximity tag reader, a storage memory and control circuitry operable to receive image data from the camera receive a proximity tag identifier identifying a proximity tag from the proximity tag reader, and store an encoded frame containing the image data and the proximity tag identity in the storage memory.
