A display device includes a display panel, a flexible printed circuit board having a connection to the display panel by using a film material, a control board having a connection to the flexible printed circuit board by using the film material, and a semiconductor integrated circuit fixed on the display panel by using the film material and functioning as a drive circuit of the display panel. The semiconductor integrated circuit includes an inspection terminal, and the display panel, the flexible printed circuit board, and the control board are provided with an inspection wiring line having one end connected to the inspection terminal and the other end to which a power supply voltage is applied on the control board. The semiconductor integrated circuit includes a built-in resistor and a switching element provided in series between the inspection terminal and a ground, and an abnormality detection circuit that detects an abnormality in a resistance of the connections using the film material based on an output voltage of a resistance dividing circuit constituted by a resistance of the inspection wiring line and the built-in resistor.

The first substrate includes: an insulating substrate; a scanning line; a data line; a first insulating film disposed between the scanning line and the data line; a common line extending in an extension direction of the scanning line or the data line; a counter electrode facing the common line with the first insulating film in between; a switching element being connected to the scanning line and the data line; a second insulating film; a pixel electrode being connected to the switching element and the counter electrode; a third insulating film; and a common electrode being provided with an opening. The switching element, the second insulating film, the pixel electrode, the third insulating film, and the common electrode are disposed in the given order toward the liquid crystal layer.

Common electrodes of two pixel units in a pixel unit group are each connected to a common electrode line therebetween. The array substrate further includes a repairing structure including a first repairing line, a second repairing line at two sides of a data line, respectively, and a middle line intersecting with the data line and connecting a first point of the first repairing line and a second point of the second repairing line.
