Electrophotographic photoreceptor, process cartridge, and image-forming apparatus
An electrophotographic photoreceptor includes a conductive support and a single-layer photosensitive layer. The conductive support has an outer peripheral surface with a maximum surface roughness height (Rmax) of about 4.0 m or less, and the outer peripheral surface has a recess with a depth-to-aperture size ratio (depth/aperture size) of about 0.03 or more and about 0.12 or less. The single-layer photosensitive layer is disposed on the conductive support and has a thickness of about 20 m or more and a modulus of elasticity of about 4.5 GPa or more.
Electrophotographic photosensitive member, process cartridge, and image forming apparatus
An electrophotographic photosensitive member includes a conductive substrate and a photosensitive layer having a single-layer structure. The photosensitive layer contains a charge generating material, an electron transport material, and a binder resin. The electron transport material includes a compound having a halogen atom and represented by a general formula (1), (2), (3), (4), or (5). The binder resin includes a polyarylate resin. The polyarylate resin includes at least one type of repeating unit each represented by general formula (11), at least one type of repeating unit each represented by general formula (12), and a terminal group represented by general formula (13). In general formula (13), R.sup.f represents a chain aliphatic group substituted by at least one fluoro group. An electrophotographic photoreceptor of a negatively-chargeable laminate-type includes a conductive substrate; a charge generation layer provided on the conductive substrate and including a charge generating material; and a charge transport layer provided on the charge generation layer and containing, as a binder resin, a copolymerized polycarbonate resin having a repeating unit represented by Formula (1); as a hole transporting substance, a compound having a structure represented by Formula (2); as an electron transporting substance, a compound having a structure represented by Formula (3), and, as an antioxidant, a compound represented by Structural Formula (4), where a mass ratio H/(B+H) represents a ratio of mass (H) of the hole transporting substance with respect to a sum of mass (B) of the binder resin and the mass (H) of the hole transporting substance, and satisfies Formula (5), 20% by massH/(B+H)35% by mass.

The repeating unit (3) has a percentage content of greater than 0% and less than 50% to a total number of repeats of the repeating units (1) and (3). The repeating unit (4) has a percentage content of at least 35% and less than 70% to a total number of repeats of the repeating units (2) and (4).
Electrophotographic photosensitive member, process cartridge, and image forming apparatus
An electrophotographic photosensitive member includes a conductive substrate and a photosensitive layer. The photosensitive layer is a single-layer photosensitive layer. The photosensitive layer contains a charge generating material, a hole transport material, an electron transport material, and a binder resin. The binder resin contains a polyarylate resin (1). The polyarylate resin is represented by general formula (1). The photosensitive layer has a scratch resistance depth of no greater than 0.50 m. The hole transport material includes a compound represented by general formula (20), (21), (22), (23), (24), (25), (26), or (27). A charge of calcium carbonate as measured by charging the calcium carbonate through friction with the photosensitive layer is at least +6.5 C/g. The photosensitive layer has a Vickers hardness of at least 17.0 HV at 45 C.

A photoconductor is provided. The photoconductor includes a support, an undercoat layer overlying the support, and a photosensitive layer overlying the undercoat layer. The undercoat layer includes a binder resin and a zinc oxide particle. The photosensitive layer includes a compound represented by the following formula (1): ##STR00001##
