PARCEL THEFT DETERRENCE FOR A/V RECORDING AND COMMUNICATION DEVICES
Parcel theft deterrence for audio/video (A/V) recording and communication devices, such as video doorbells and security cameras. When an A/V recording and communication device captures image data that includes a parcel, a parcel boundary may be created for monitoring the parcel within. In various embodiments, when the parcel is removed from the parcel boundary, a user alert may be generated to notify a user of a client device associated with the A/V recording and communication device that the parcel has been removed.
Surveillance method
Provided is a surveillance method. The surveillance method includes detecting an event occurring region from an image obtained by using a first image sensor; and, when the event occurring region satisfies a preset condition, moving an identification unit on which a second image sensor is mounted in a direction corresponding to the event occurring region.
LENS SYSTEM, CAMERA SYSTEM, AND IMAGING SYSTEM
A lens system forms an image on an imaging element having a quadrilateral shape disposed on an optical axis. The lens system includes a second free-curved lens being asymmetrical with respect to the optical axis. A sag amount of the second free-curved lens in a circle separated from the optical axis by a length having a predetermined ratio with respect to a minimum image height has extrema outside of a first intersection points between a first surface passing through the optical axis and parallel to longer sides of the imaging element and the circle, and a second intersection point between a second surface passing through the optical axis and parallel to shorter sides of the imaging element and the circle. Each of the extrema is greater than the sag amount at the first intersection point or the second intersection point by 0.01 mm or greater.
Surveillance camera
A dome type surveillance camera includes a planar base, and a plurality of cameras. Each of the plurality of cameras is connected to the base to be movable along a circumference on the base. The plurality of cameras includes three or more cameras. Each of the plurality of cameras is rotatable in both right and left directions with an imaging direction. The imaging direction is an optical axis direction of each of the plurality of cameras as an axis such that a panoramic image formed by images captured by each of the plurality of cameras is continuous in a horizontal direction when the plurality of cameras are disposed so as to be equidistant to each other on a semicircular arc.
Camera for wide field of view with an arbitrary aspect ratio
A camera system comprises illumination and optical components that manage illumination from the illumination source to the camera sensor in a highly efficient manner to image a wide field of view. The camera sensor comprises a modular compound imaging lens and a corresponding illuminator. The illuminator is capable of emitting a field of illumination that is wide in one plane (e.g., the tangential plane) and relatively narrow in the orthogonal plane (e.g., the sagittal plane). The modular compound lens receives scattered light from the viewing field and focuses the light to one or more imaging sensors (e.g., 3D imaging sensors). The modular lens images a wide field of view substantially equal to the field of illumination of the illuminator and is oriented such that the field of view of the lens substantially overlaps the field of illumination of the illuminator, yielding a high collection efficiency.
Parcel delivery prediction-based theft detection
Techniques are disclosed to detect and/or deter parcel theft based at least in part on predicted parcel delivery times. In various embodiments, a predicted delivery time at which a parcel is expected to be delivered to an associated delivery address is determined based at least in part on delivery schedule information. An audio/video recording and communication device installed at the delivery address is operated in a parcel protect mode in which the audio/video recording and communication device is configured to be used to detect one or both of delivery of the parcel to the delivery address and removal of the parcel from the delivery address.
Systems and methods for monitoring advertisements
A system for monitoring advertisements has a security camera and sensor that are positioned to monitor an area surrounding the advertising structure with the advertisement. The camera and sensor can be controlled by a control module. The control module can activate the camera in response to receiving a signal from the sensor indicating activity in the area surrounding the advertising structure. The camera can capture images of the area surrounding the advertising structure and provide the images to the control module. The control module can then provide the images to a server for access by a user.
OUTDOOR SECURITY SYSTEMS AND METHODS
The disclosure includes a security system including an outdoor security device. In some embodiments, the outdoor security device comprises a housing, a light coupled to the housing and located within a hollow inner portion of the housing, and a camera and a lens coupled to the housing. In some embodiments, the security device comprises at least one directional microphone communicatively coupled to the camera and configured to determine a location of a detected sound whereby the camera performs a frame lock to capture an image associated with the detected sound.
Enhanced doorbell camera interactions
Techniques are described for enhanced interactions for a security automation system using a doorbell camera. One method includes detecting, by the doorbell camera, an object located within a pre-determined distance from the doorbell camera; identifying, by the doorbell camera, a suggested security action for the security and automation system to perform based at least in part on the detecting; transmitting the suggested action to the security and automation system based at least in part on the identifying; and transmitting, in response to identifying the suggested security action, a message to a user associated with the security automation system regarding the suggested security action.
