A liquid crystal display device includes a liquid crystal layer which is divided into a plurality of pixels having a plurality of electrodes applying a voltage to the liquid crystal layer. Each pixel includes a first sub-pixel and a second sub-pixel. When each pixel displays a grayscale gk, the voltages applied to the liquid crystal layer of the first sub-pixel and second sub-pixel of each pixel are V1(gk) and V2(gk), and ΔV12(gk)=V1(gk)−V2(gk) is set, where 0≤gk≤n, and gk and n are integers greater than 0, and n represents the highest-brightness grayscale. When the grayscale gk is smaller than a predetermined grayscale gs, ΔV12(gk)>0V is set, and the relation ΔV12(gk)>ΔV12(gk+1) is satisfied. When the grayscale gk is equal to or greater than the predetermined grayscale gs, ΔV12(gk)=0V is set, and the relation ΔV12(gk)=ΔV12(gk+1) is satisfied.

The driving method includes adopting drive data of relatively high voltage and drive data of relatively low voltage respectively for driving any two adjacent pixels; in each of the rows, with adjacent three pixels as a repeater, a polarity arrangement drive adopted by the pixels in a first column is different from a polarity arrangement drive adopted by the pixels in other two columns, the polarity arrangement drive above is one of a first polarity arrangement drive and a second polarity arrangement drive; in each of the columns, the polarity arrangement drive of every two of the pixels is identical; the first polarity arrangement drive and the second polarity arrangement drive are alternately changed with two of the pixels as a repeater. The display device uses such a driving method.

A touch display device including a display panel and a touch device is provided. The display panel includes a plurality of sub-pixels. Each of the sub-pixels includes a pixel electrode and a switching element. The touch device is located on the display panel and includes a touch electrode area and a dummy electrode area. The touch device includes an electrode structure and a conductive mesh. The conductive mesh includes a plurality of reticulated repeating units. Each of the reticulated repeating units is overlapped with at least one corresponding sub-pixel and includes first and second X-shaped conductive structures. Two ends of the first X-shaped conductive structure are connected to two ends of the second X-shaped conductive structure. The first and second X-shaped conductive structures in the touch electrode area are in a continuous pattern. The first and second X-shaped conductive structures in the dummy electrode area are in a discontinuous pattern.

A device configured to change a subpixel format from a non-native display device format to a native display format, includes a buffer configured to store compressed pixels in a sub-pixel format that is ordered in the non-native display device format. The device includes a processor, coupled to the buffer, configured to receive, from the buffer, a stream of the compressed pixels, and generate an uncompressed stream of the pixels with a stream compression decoder. The processor is configured to generate an ordered uncompressed stream of pixels in the native display device format by reordering the uncompressed stream of pixels in the sub-pixel format that is ordered in the non-native display format based on a reorder factor that is an integer multiple of a fundamental coding unit used in the stream compression decoder. The processor is configured to output the ordered uncompressed stream of pixels in the native display device format.
