Solid Insulation Material

The present disclosure relates to insulation. Teachings thereof may be embodied in a solid insulation material, especially in tape form, the use thereof in a vacuum impregnation process and to an insulation system produced therewith, and also an electrical machine comprising the insulation system, especially for the medium- and high-voltage sector, namely for medium- and high-voltage machines, especially rotating electrical machines in the medium- and high-voltage sector, and to semifinished products for electrical switchgear. For example a solid insulation material with an anhydride-free impregnating agent may include: a carrier; a barrier material; a curing catalyst; and a tape adhesive. The curing catalyst and the tape adhesive are inert toward one another but react under the conditions of a vacuum impregnation process if combined with an anhydride-free impregnating agent having gelation times of 1 h to 15 h at impregnation temperature. The tape adhesive is free of oxirane groups and includes at least two free hydroxyl groups.

High-frequency wire and high-frequency coil

A high-frequency wire includes: a central conductor that is formed from aluminum or an aluminum alloy; and a magnetic layer that has a fibrous structure formed along a longitudinal direction of the central conductor and covers the central conductor.

Surface modified overhead conductor

The present invention relates to a surface modified overhead conductor with a coating that allows the conductor to operate at lower temperatures. The coating is an inorganic, non-white coating having durable heat and wet aging characteristics. The coating preferably contains a heat radiating agent with desirable properties, and an appropriate binder/suspension agent. In a preferred embodiment, the coating has L* value of less than 80, a heat emissivity of greater than or equal to 0.5, and/or a solar absorptivity coefficient of greater than 0.3.

The anionic layer includes a polyanionic polymer, first particles, or a combination thereof. The cationic layer includes a polycationic polymer, second particles, or a combination thereof. The anionic layer is in planar contact with the cationic layer. In each of the bilayers, the anionic layer includes the polyanionic polymer, the cationic includes the polycationic polymer, or a combination thereof.
