Using ionic liquids to make reconfigurable liquid wires
Disclosed herein are liquid conductive wires and methods for making and using the same. Liquid conductive wires can be used in flexible, reconfigurable, dynamic and transparent electronic devices. Liquid conductive wires can be used in a variety of systems including, but not limited to, soft robotics.
Electric power cable
A cable for transmitting electricity may include a core including a first conductive material, a core shield surrounding the core, an insulation layer surrounding the core shield, the insulation layer comprising a material providing electrical insulating properties, an insulation shield surrounding the insulation layer; and at least one of the following at least partially surrounding the insulation shield: (a) a bedding layer including a first semi-conductive material, (b) a tape layer including a metallic tape intercalated with an insulating tape, and (c) a protection layer.
Cable hose with conductive electromagnetic interference shield
A cable hose suitable for welding or cutting systems includes tubing, one or more conductors, and an annular electromagnetic interference (EMI) shield. The EMI shield is disposed radially interiorly of at least a portion of the tubing and radially exteriorly of the one or more conductors. Thus, the EMI shield: (1) prevents EMI emanating from the one or more conductors from exiting the cable hose radially; and (2) conducts current between components of a welding or cutting system.
Hygienic motor cable vent connector apparatus and method
A cable vent connector configured for venting an electric motor is provided. The cable vent connector includes an input for receiving a motor-side cable that includes a vent tube and a plurality of electrical conductors; a body configured for venting the vent tube to a local atmosphere, thus permitting an interior of the electric motor to reach pressure equilibrium; and a port for connecting the plurality of electrical conductors with a drive-side cable configured to drive the electric motor. A venting system and a production system are disclosed.
Submersible transducer configured to impede fluid penetration
Submersible transducer includes a transducer housing configured to be submerged within an aqueous liquid and a pressure sensor operable to obtain data for determining a pressure of the aqueous liquid. The pressure sensor may be disposed within the transducer housing. The submersible transducer also includes a submersible cable having an electrical conductor and a venting tube operably coupled to the pressure sensor. The pressure sensor uses an atmospheric pressure of an external environment that is detected through the venting tube to determine the pressure of the aqueous liquid. The submersible cable also includes a cable jacket and an inner layer that is surrounded by the cable jacket. The inner layer surrounds the electrical conductor and the venting tube. The inner layer includes a non-hygroscopic polymer that is more resistant to absorbing the aqueous liquid than the cable jacket.
Ignition suppression circuiting technology
A cable system is provided which is configured with both electric wires and a fluid conduit running through the axial passage of a surrounding flexible sheath of the cable. The system allows for communication of electricity over the wires for electrical circuits and concurrent communication of a fire ignition suppressant fluid or gas through the fluid conduit, to all points in an electric circuit using the cable. Suppressant chambers may be located in or on or engaged with junction boxes in such circuits to locally extinguish electrical fires.
Surgical Insufflation and Irrigation Conduits and Methods for Use
The presently disclosed embodiments relate to insufflation and irrigation conduits for vessel harvesting systems and methods of their use. In particular, the present disclosure relates to a system having a combined cabling for providing gases, liquids, and/or electrical power to an attached medical device and method of use.
MULTI-DIELECTRIC COAXIAL PUSH-CABLES AND ASSOCIATED APPARATUS
Coaxial video push-cables are disclosed. One embodiment includes a central conductor and a multi-dielectric stack of multiple concentric tubular layers disposed around the central conductor having one or more structural layers and one or more impedance tuning layers where the thickness of materials of each layer are selected to provide a pre-defined elastic modulus and electromagnetic impedance, an electromagnetic shielding layer, and a jacket enclosing the shielding layer, multi-dielectric stack layers, and central conductor.
