A cable assembly including a first connector, a second connector, and a cable is disclosed that routes power, and/or information between devices. The cable includes a first group of one or more conductors that are mechanically connected to the first connector and the second connector to route power and/or one or more wired information communications between the devices. The cable also includes a second group of one or more that is mechanically connected to the first connector to provide one or more wireless information communications between the first device and the second device or a third device which is not mechanically connected to the cable assembly.

PORTABLE ASSEMBLY FOR DISTRIBUTING BOTH AC POWER AND DIGITAL CONTROL SIGNALS TO A PLURALITY OF DISCRETE DEVICES
20220042670 · 2022-02-10 ·

A portable assembly suitable for distributing both power and low voltage control signals to a plurality of discrete devices is disclosed. Power and control signal input connectors are attached by flexible cable to a junction point. A first set of power and control signal output connectors are attached by flexible cable to the same junction point. A second set of power and control signal output connectors is located proximate to the junction point. Contacts of all three power connectors and of all three control signal connectors having the same function are made electrically common, such that power and control signals applied to the input connectors are available at both output connectors. The arrangement of elements reduces the number of cables and connections required to share power and data relative to prior art methods.

Induction heating extension cables including control conductors

Induction heating extension cables including control conductors are disclosed. An example cable assembly includes: a first plurality of conductors in a Litz cable arrangement; an outer protective layer configured to protect the plurality of conductors from physical damage; and a second plurality of conductors that are electrically isolated from the first plurality of conductors and are protected by the outer protective layer from physical damage.

The present disclosure relates to a composite cable for a vehicle and a composite cable assembly, which are capable of simultaneously providing a communication function and power to an electronic parking brake (EPB) and an anti-lock brake system (ABS) for use in a vehicle, and maximizing electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) shielding performance between internal components or external cables.

POWER UNIT AND POWER CABLE FOR MOBILE COMMUNICATION BASE STATION
20220208417 · 2022-06-30 ·

The present disclosure relates to a power unit and a power cable for a mobile communication base station, which have sufficiently low inductance and thus minimize voltage oscillation regardless of a change of the amount of power transmitted when communication load of a mobile communication base station increases, thereby providing stable communication services, and which enhance workability of connection to a remote radio unit (RRU) at a base station.

Hybrid cables for use with sensitive detectors

A hybrid cable for use with sensitive detectors may include a central power delivery component, a data delivery component positioned around the power delivery component, and a jacket formed around the power delivery component and the data delivery component. The power delivery component may include a plurality of shielded first individually insulated conductors. The data delivery component may include four twisted pairs of second individually insulated conductors and respective shield layers formed around each of the four pairs. An outer diameter of the cable may be less than 8.5 mm, and the cable may be capable of transmitting data within an operating frequency range of up to 2.5 GHz over a distance of at least 100 m.

Field grading members, power cables having field grading members, and methods of regulating electric fields

A field grading member includes an insulating body extending along a regulation axis and a conductive body. The conductive body is encapsulated within the insulating body and defines a conductive network therein to regulate an electric field within an underlying insulator from current flowing through a conductor along the regulation axis. Cables and methods of regulating electric field within cables are also described.

Devices, systems and methods to prevent damage to power and communication conductors located in cold occurring regions, with an elongated cylindrical tubular assembly of closed cell foam within a braided/woven layer that can be sealed to provide longitudinal strength and a snag resistant durable and flexible outer coating. The assembly along with communication and power lines is pulled through new power and communication ducts and conduits and in retrofitting existing power and communication ducts, so that the assembly reduces the volume spacing in the ducts/conduits that can be damaged by water intrusion which expands during freeze conditions.

Rotation detection device and cable with sensor

A rotation detection device that detects a rotational speed of a rotating member by using a magnetic sensor, includes a detected member mounted to the rotating member, and a sensor section mounted to a stationary member not rotating with rotation of the rotating member. A through-hole that penetrates in a direction intersecting with a rotational axis of the rotating member is formed at the stationary member. The sensor section includes the magnetic sensors each including a detection section that includes a magnetism detection element and a cover covering the magnetism detection element, and a housing portion coating the magnetic sensors. The housing portion is inserted into the through-hole in the direction intersecting with the rotational axis. The detection sections are arranged at a position shifted from the rotational axis along the detected member in a direction intersecting with an inserting direction that inserts the housing portion into the through-hole.
