TERMINAL INSERTION DEVICE
A terminal insertion device is provided which enables inserting connector terminals into terminal accommodating chambers of a connector housing, each of the connector terminals being connected to an end of each of a plurality of electric wires in a multi-core cable by crimping, while reducing the separation length for the plurality of electric wires. The terminal insertion device comprises: a terminal separator configured to be interposed between two connector terminals; a terminal chuck configured to clamp and bundle the two connector terminals in two directions, i.e., in a first direction intersecting an insertion direction and in a second direction intersecting the insertion direction and the first direction; and a moving mechanism configured to move at least one of a connector housing and the two connector terminals held by the terminal separator and the terminal chuck to insert the two connector terminals into two terminal accommodating chambers.

A wire processing device including a wire processing mechanism for processing a wire, and a wire handling device for transferring the wire to the wire processing mechanism. The wire processing device has a carrying device, and a holding device for holding the at least one wire can be releasably arranged on the carrying device. The wire processing device includes an acquisition device for acquiring data stored on the holding device.

A process for manufacturing finished wire and cable having reduced coefficient of friction and pulling force during installation, includes providing a payoff reel containing at least one internal conductor wire; supplying the at least one internal conductor wire from the reel to at least one extruder; providing the least one extruder, wherein the at least one extruder applies an insulating material and a polymerized jacket composition over the at least one internal conductor wire, wherein the polymerized jacket composition comprises a predetermined amount by weight of nylon; and at least 3% by weight of a silica providing a cooling device for lowering the temperature of the extruded insulating material and the polymerized jacket composition and cooling the insulating material and the polymerized jacket composition in the cooling device; and, reeling onto a storage reel the finished, cooled, wire and cable for storage and distribution.
Method and apparatus for applying labels to cable
An apparatus for attaching a label to a moving cable, the apparatus comprising: a roller for pressing a label against the moving cable, wherein the label has a first attaching edge and a second attaching edge and wherein the roller comprises: a first roller for pressing the label against the moving cable, wherein the label is pressed against the moving cable with the first attaching edge and the second attaching edge of the label on opposites sides of the moving cable; a first roll down roller for folding the second edge of the label against the moving cable; and a second roll down roller for folding the first edge of the label against the moving cable.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR WIRELINE CABLE COATING
A cable coater system for a downhole tool includes a cable coater. The cable coater may include a housing and one or more rollers that are coupled to the housing, wherein the one or more rollers are configured to rest on the downhole cable while guiding the cable through openings in the cable coater during wireline operations. The cable coater may remain on cable during all spooling (on and off) activities for the duration of operations and activated to coat the cable upon the final pull out of hole and prior to storage of the cable. The spooling in and out of the cable may further be automatically controlled by providing a positional indicator of the cable coater and thus where the cable is in three-dimensional space relative the spool.
Method and machine for producing bindings
The method for producing bindings includes: positioning at least one binding bobbin on a machine having: a winding bobbin including a device for supporting and a notch, an electric motor which is coupled to the winding bobbin; and at least one shaft capable of receiving a binding bobbin, supporting a free end of the binding of the binding bobbin on the winding bobbin, by the device for supporting; supplying electricity to the electric motor of the machine to drive the winding bobbin in rotation, so as to wind the binding of the binding bobbin over a plurality of turns around the winding bobbin; stopping the supply of electricity to the electric motor of the machine; and in the region of the notch of the winding bobbin, cutting the plurality of turns of bindings wound onto the winding bobbin.
Systems, Methods and Apparatus for Processing Shielded Cable
An automated system for processing an end of a cable. The system includes: a cable delivery system; a cable processing module; a pallet supported by the cable delivery system; a drive wheel rotatably coupled to the pallet; a motor operatively coupled for driving rotation of the drive wheel; and an idler wheel rotatably coupled to the pallet and forming a nip with the drive wheel. The cable processing module includes cable processing equipment configured to perform an operation on an end of a cable and a computer system. The computer system is configured to: (a) cause the drive wheel to rotate in a cable pushing direction to cause a specified length of cable to be inserted into the cable processing equipment; (b) activate the cable processing equipment to perform an operation on the inserted end of the cable; and (c) cause the drive wheel to rotate in a cable pulling direction to cause the specified length of cable to be removed from the cable processing equipment.
