Chair with copper infused mesh
A chair for particular use in clinical or hospital environments has a frame to which a support material is secured. The support material may form a chair back and/or a seat for the chair to provide support to the chair occupant. The support material may be made from a textile that includes copper containing particles such as copper iodide or copper oxide within the textile fibers.
Apparatus for protecting a component of a power distribution system against wildlife
An apparatus for protecting a component of a power distribution system against wildlife, the apparatus comprising a cover having a first wall and a second wall, the first wall and the second wall being spaced apart to receive part of the component; the first wall having an opening for receiving a pin; and a cantilever mount at the opening for supporting the pin in the first wall. Various configurations of cantilever mount and pin may be used. Opposing pins in opposing walls may be used. The pins may extend towards each other and may or may not meet.
Bushing with integrated electronics
A bushing includes: an elongate electrical conductor; an insulation layer arranged around the elongate electrical conductor; an electrically conducting sleeve coaxially arranged with the electrical conductor; and a ring shaped printed circuit board with electrical components coaxially arranged around the electrical conductor. The sleeve and the printed circuit board are embedded in the insulation layer. The ring shaped printed circuit board is positioned in an axial direction between both ends of the electrically conducting sleeve.
BACTERIAL RESISTANT CHAIR
A chair for particular use in clinical or hospital environments has a frame to which a support material is secured. The support material may form a chair back and/or a seat for the chair to provide support to the chair occupant. The support material may be made from a textile of interwoven strands wherein some of the interwoven strands include copper containing particles such as copper iodide or copper oxide within the textile fibers.
WOUND ELECTRICAL COMPONENT WITH PRINTED ELECTRONICS SENSOR
A wound electrical component includes a wound body comprising a plurality of wound layers of an electrically insulating material around a longitudinal axis of the body. The component also includes at least one printed electronics sensor consisting of printed circuits on a flexible substrate. Each sensor is interleaved between two of the wound layers of the wound body.
COMBINATION OF AN ELECTRICITY CONDUCTING ELEMENT, SUCH AS BUSHING, AND A CONNECTOR CABLE
A combination includes: an electricity conducting element and a connector cable. The electricity conducting elements includes: a body of insulating material; an electrical conductor extending through the body; at least one passive electrical sensor embedded or integrated in the body of insulating material; and at least one shielded connector with one or more terminals arranged on an outer surface of the body, the at least one shielded connector being electrically connected to the at least one passive electrical sensor. The connector cable includes: a first shielded connector with one or more terminals for connecting with the at least one shielded connector; a second shielded connector with one or more terminals for connecting with an appliance or a further connector cable; and electrical components arranged closely to the first shielded connector and electrically connected to the terminals of the first shielded connector.
Insulated joystick assembly
A joystick assembly is disclosed. In embodiments, the joystick controls a boom and aids in insulating a user from potential electric shock. Handle utilized by the operator may be made of, or at least one surface coated or covered in, material highly-resistant to electric current. The highly-resistant material may also extend to other components such as, a connecting rod, and a mounting base. The highly-resistant components may separate the operator from electrically charged components. As well as separating the operator from potentially electrically charged components, the rod may be received at the base by force measuring sensors, or strain measuring sensors may be attached to the rod. This allows the handle and rod to be stationary and, in embodiments, rigid, and only the applied force to be measured, thus decreasing the number of components needed in the assembly.
Chair comprising copper infused mesh support material
A chair for particular use in clinical or hospital environments has a frame to which a support material is secured. The support material may form a chair back and/or a seat for the chair to provide support to the chair occupant. The support material may be made from a textile of interwoven strands wherein some of the interwoven strands include copper containing particles, such as copper iodide or copper oxide within the textile fibers.
