Luminaire, arrangement, particularly door contact switch, circuit board and use
A luminaire comprising a circuit board having at least one LED illuminant arranged on the circuit board, wherein the circuit board is arranged in a luminaire housing with a translucent housing section. The circuit board includes a switching device for switching the at least one LED illuminant on and off with at least one reed switch, wherein the reed switch is arranged on the circuit board between at least one power connection and the at least one LED illuminant and is magnetically switchable for disconnecting or connecting a central power supply for the at least one LED illuminant.
Fault detection system and method for liquid level sensing device
A system and a method for fault detection for a liquid level sensing device are provided. The liquid level sensing device comprising a plurality of switches arranged to measure variance in a liquid level. A sensing signal comprising a plurality of measurements indicative of the liquid level is received from the liquid level sensing device. Each measurement is obtained in response to one or more of the plurality of switches being in a given position at a given liquid level. It is determined, based on the sensing signal, whether the liquid level changed according to one or more expected change patterns. A fault signal is output in response to determining that the liquid level changed according to an abnormal change pattern.
Protection device for being provided inside a key fob and corresponding key control system
It is provided a protection device for being provided inside a key fob to selectively inactivate the key fob. The protection device comprises: a first conductive layer; a second conductive layer; an insulator layer between the first conductive layer and the second conductive layer, the insulator layer preventing conductive contact between the first conductive layer and the second conductive layer; and a switch conductively coupled between the first conductive layer and the second conductive layer, the switch being wirelessly controllable to be in a conductive state or a blocking state.
Bend web design for reed switches
A reed switch including a cylindrical enclosure with two ends, a first blade and a second blade is disclosed. The first blade has a first lead, a first web, and a first contact, and the first web is bent at a first angle as compared to the first lead. The second blade has a second lead, a second web, and a second contact, and the second web is bent at a second angle as compared to the second lead. The first contact is disposed adjacent to the second contact with a gap between them.
Ingress-tolerant input devices comprising sliders
This disclosure relates to ingress-tolerant input devices comprising sliders. Aspects of the disclosure relate to an ingress-tolerant switch assembly for operating an electronic device in an ingress-protected manner. The switch assembly is at least partially disposed on an outer surface of an enclosure of the electronic device and generally includes a spring, a magnet coupled to the spring, and a slider coupled to the magnet. A spring force of the spring is overcome by a user moving the slider relative to the enclosure such that the slider moves the magnet into proximity of the magnetic sensor to cause the magnetic sensor to generate a sensor signal for performing a function of the electronic device.
Magnetic reed switch assembly and method
A magnet reed switch assembly. The magnetic reed switch assembly includes a reed switch having a body and a pair of electrical contacts disposed in the body. A ring magnet has a bore, and a portion of the body of the reed switch is disposed within the bore, with the ring magnet positioned close to the pair of electrical contacts. The ring magnet is movable along the axis of the body between a first position and a second position. A plunger includes a proximal end coupled to the ring magnet and a distal end having a sensing magnet. When a ferrous target is disposed near the sensing magnet, the plunger moves toward the ferrous target causing the ring magnet to move from the first position to the second position, and the reed switch to move from an open state to a closed state.
ROTATION ANGLE DETECTION SENSOR
A rotation angle detection sensor detects the rotation angle of a rotating part attached to a structure including a fixed part and a rotating part that rotates around a rotary shaft. The rotation angle detection sensor includes a reed switch attached to the fixed or rotating part with reeds placed near the rotary shaft. An annular magnet is attached to the rotating or fixed part. A magnetic circuit is formed with respect to the reed switch, with its central axis arranged concentrically with the rotary shaft. When the magnet rotates around the central axis with respect to the reed switch, if the same poles of the magnet are lined up in the longitudinal direction of the reed switch, the reed switch is turned off. If opposite poles of the magnet are lined up in the longitudinal direction of the reed switch, the reed switch is turned on.
CONTACT SWITCH COATING
Switch assemblies and switching methods are disclosed. In some embodiments, a switch assembly may include a first blade having a first contact within an enclosed cavity, and a second blade having a second contact within the enclosed cavity. The first and second contacts are operable to make or break contact with one another in response to a magnetic field. The switch assembly may further include a coating formed over each of the first and second contacts, the coating including a titanium layer, a second layer formed over the titanium layer, and a tungsten-copper layer formed over the second layer. In some embodiments, the second layer is copper or molybdenum.
