Electromagnetic relay
Provided is an electromagnetic relay that is reduced in size and has great flexibility in designing. For this purpose, when a predetermined time has passed after generation of an arc at least either between a movable contact and a fixed contact or between a movable contact and a fixed contact, an arc generated between the movable contact and the fixed contact is extended by a magnetic field generation unit to be longer than an arc generated between the movable contact and the fixed contact.
ELECTROMAGNETIC RELAY
An electromagnetic relay includes a movable terminal including a movable contact, a fixed terminal including a fixed contact that faces the movable contact, first irons disposed on one of the fixed terminal and the movable terminal, and a second iron disposed on another one of the fixed terminal and the movable terminal such that the second iron at least partially overlaps both of the first irons.
Shape memory article with heat-generating microcapsule
A shape memory article comprises a shape memory material that transitions to a first shape from a second shape when a temperature of the shape memory material exceeds a threshold temperature. A plurality of microcapsules is in thermal contact with the shape memory material. Each microcapsule in the plurality of microcapsules has a first compartment, a second compartment, and an isolating structure separating the first and second compartments. The isolating structure is rupturable in response to a stimulus. The first compartments each contain a first component, and the second compartments each contain a second component that reacts with the first component to produce heat.

Robust microelectromechanical switch
A microelectromechanical system switch includes a signal input line, a signal output line, a deformable conducting membrane electrically connected to the signal output line and including a contact dimple facing the signal input line, and an actuation electrode. The membrane has a planar round shape, with a radial opening in the direction of the signal input line, narrowing from the periphery towards the center of the membrane, the contact dimple being formed in the central region of the membrane, the actuation electrode has the same shape as the membrane, and the gap between the membrane, facing the actuation electrode, and the actuation electrode is an airgap only.
Electromagnetic actuator and electrical contactor comprising such an actuator
An electromagnetic actuator of an electrical contact includes: a stationary portion including at least one coil generating a magnetic field centered on a longitudinal axis; at least one core concentrating magnetic flux, installed within the coil, and including a plate spreading the magnetic flux and defining an active surface perpendicular to the longitudinal axis, and at least one element returning magnetic flux; an armature translationally movable along the longitudinal axis and relative to the stationary portion between first and second positions, by a force induced by the magnetic field; and at least one device returning the armature elastically to a predetermined position of the first position or second position. The spreading plate includes at least one rib closing magnetic field lines between the spreading plate and the armature, protruding relative to the active surface on the armature side and housed on one edge of the spreading plate.
ELECTROMAGNETIC RELAY
An electromagnetic relay includes a fixed contact; a movable contact movable between a first position at which the movable contact contacts the fixed contact to form a closed state, and a second position at which the movable contact does not contact the fixed contact to form a opened state; an electromagnet that includes a coil, a magnetic core, and a yoke coupled to the magnetic core, and generates magnetic field; and an actuator that includes a pair of armatures, and a permanent magnet sandwiched by the pair of armatures, and moves the movable contact by the magnetic field generated by the electromagnet, wherein a magnetic circuit formed by the magnetic core, the yoke and the pair of armatures is closed at the opened state, and is opened at the closed state.
High-voltage direct-current magnetic latching relay with sensitive response
A high-voltage DC magnetic latching relay, including stationary contact lead-out terminals, a movable spring, a pushing rod component, and a direct-acting magnetic latching magnetic circuit structure including a movable iron core, a coil assembly, a stationary iron core, a yoke plate, a yoke cylinder and permanent magnets. The coil assembly is inside the yoke cylinder and provided with an iron core hole, the stationary iron core is provided in the iron core hole, the movable iron core is provided in the iron core hole and located between the yoke plate and the stationary iron core; the permanent magnets are mounted between the yoke plate and the coil assembly and positions thereof corresponds to a position of the movable iron core; a first spring is provided between the movable iron core and the stationary iron core, a second spring is provided between the movable iron core and the yoke plate.

A switching electrical power contactor having a bi-blade type switch, has ferrous plates attached to the blades to increase the current carrying capacity and reduce the resistance of the switch. The contacts of the switches are arranged in pairs with at least one pair of contacts being arranged to close before another pair of contacts.
DC operated polarized electromagnet and electromagnetic contactor using the same
The DC operated polarized electromagnet includes a spool around which an excitation coil is wound and that has a central opening, a plunger having first and second armatures, fitted individually, an outer yoke enclosing opposing side faces of the spool so as to attract the first armature, an inner yoke arranged on the inner side of the outer yoke so as to attract the second armature, and permanent magnets arranged between the outer yoke and the inner yoke, and reduces magnetoresistance by setting the thickness of the outer yoke thicker than the thickness of the inner yoke so that convergent magnetic flux in the plunger is diverted into the outer yoke.
