Detection of the opening of a data input device

A support element of a keypad included in a keyboard of a data input device. The support element puts at least one dummy key of a printed circuit board under pressure.

Cover for an electronic payment terminal, corresponding electronic payment terminal

A cover for an electronic payment terminal having at least one zone to be back-lit. The cover includes at least one part having at least one lower layer and one upper layer assembled during the manufacture of the cover, the lower layer being opaque or semi-opaque and having at least one aperture facing the at least one zone to be back-lit when the cover is mounted on the electronic payment terminal. The upper layer is translucent and covers the at least one aperture in the lower layer.

A support part for an LCD display module of an electronic device includes at least one element for receiving a press device for pressing a dummy key. The support part at least one attachment element for securing the part to a printed circuit board of the electronic device such that the press device is compressed between the support part and the printed circuit board.

Four-contact magnetic switch apparatus

Switch apparatus (54), designed to detect relative movement between first and second members (60, 62), includes a switch assembly (48) comprising a switch unit (20), a biasing element (50), and an operating member (52). The unit (20) has a conductive housing (22) with first, second, and third electrical pin contacts (36-40) and a shiftable body (46). The body (46) is magnetically correlated with both the element (50) and operating member (52). When the members (60, 62) are close, the operating member (52) maintains the shiftable body (46) in one switch position, whereas when the members (60, 62) are separated, the biasing element (50) magnetically moves body (46) to another switch position, thereby detecting the relative movement).

A security element for a data input device and a method for detecting intrusion in the data input device. The security element has a shape suited to closing contacts via each of two extremities respectively on first and second printed-circuit boards of the data input device when the data input device is in the closed position. The extremities are not electrically connected to each other.

KEYBOARD DEVICE

A keyboard device includes a key structure, a switch circuit board, a supporting plate and an identification module. The key structure includes a keycap and a fingerprint sensing module. The fingerprint sensing module is installed on an inner surface of the keycap in order to acquire a fingerprint information of a finger. The identification module is located under the supporting plate and electrically connected with the fingerprint sensing module. The identification module receives the fingerprint information and determines whether an unlocking operation of unlocking a computer is performed according to the fingerprint information. Since the keycap is not equipped with a hollow region and the fingerprint sensing module is not exposed, the keyboard device has the aesthetically-pleasing appearance.

Circuit breakers with tamper-evident security seals

A circuit breaker assembly including a housing assembly and a tamper detection system. The housing assembly defines a sealed enclosure. The sealed enclosure includes a division interface. The sealed enclosure is structured to be in one of a closed, first configuration, wherein the sealed enclosure defines a generally enclosed space, and an open, second configuration, wherein the sealed enclosure allows access to the enclosed space, and wherein, as the sealed enclosure moves between the first configuration to the second configuration, the sealed enclosure is reconfigured at the division interface. The tamper detection system includes a protective assembly and an indicator assembly. The protective assembly is structured to be coupled to the sealed enclosure at the division interface. The indicator assembly includes a rupturable construct. The rupturable construct is structured to transform from an intact, first configuration to a ruptured, second configuration.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR AUTHENTICATING AND DETECTING CIRCUIT BREAKER INTEGRITY

A circuit breaker apparatus may include a housing, a circuit inside the housing for protecting the conductors and the load of the circuit, a display attached to outside of the housing, a controller, and a power control device. The display may be an electronically-alterable display that does not require power in situations other than changing its state. The power control device may provide power to the controller and the display when the apparatus is being tampered with. When the controller is powered, it may cause the power control device to cause the display to change from a state that indicates that the apparatus is authenticated to another state that indicates that the apparatus has been tampered with. The power control device may include a battery and a switch, or a power harvester, which can be configured to provide power to the controller when the apparatus is being tampered with.
