VIRAL NUCLEIC ACID MOLECULES, AND COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS OF USE THEREOF
The disclosure relates to defective interfering genes and viruses thereof. It has been discovered that defective interfering genes designed from influenza and coronavirus species can inhibit infection or replication of the parent virus. In vivo, DIGs induce rapid-onset prophylactic protection of infected animals against lethal viral doses. Thus, disclosed herein are nucleic acids containing DIGs, pharmaceutical compositions thereof and associated methods of use. For example, described herein is an isolated polynucleotide containing one or more defective interfering genes, wherein each of the one or more defective interfering genes contains a nucleotide sequence corresponding to one or more portions of an influenza or coronavirus gene or genome, wherein the nucleotide sequence includes a deletion in the gene. The DIGs can be in the form of a plasmid. Pharmaceutical compositions of the plasmid can be used to limit viral replication and prevent or treat influenza or coronavirus associated diseases.
VACCINES COMPRISING GLYCOENGINEERED BACTERIA
The present invention is directed to a gram-negative bacterial host cell for vaccine use comprising a heterologous functional Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae (APR) rfb gene cluster producing an APR O-anti-gen bound to the lipid A-core of the bacterial host cell and located on the bacterial host outer surface, and wherein the endogenous rib gene cluster of the bacterial host cell is not functional. The invention further pertains to compositions comprising said host cells, in particular vaccines, and corresponding uses in the prophylaxis and/or therapy of Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae (APR) infections.
Gastrointestinal site-specific oral vaccination formulations active on the ileum and appendix
The invention provides oral vaccine formulations which deliver an antigen in the vicinity of the distal ileum and the area of the ileal Brake and/or the appendix. These vaccines are useful in the treatment and/or prevention of variety of disorders, including viral and bacterial infections and cancers. Related methods of treatment which use the oral vaccine formulations of the invention are also provided.
DOSAGE REGIME
The present disclosure relates to the treatment of pathological conditions, such as cancer, with Antibody Drug Conjugates (ADCs). In particular, the present disclosure relates to administration of ADCs which bind to CD19 (CD19-ADCs).
RECOMBINANT VECTOR CONTAINING IMMUNOGENIC PROTEIN OF AFRICAN SWINE FEVER VIRUS, RECOMBINANT BACTERIA AND USE THEREOF
A recombinant vector containing the immunogenic protein of African swine fever virus, a recombinant bacterium and use thereof, and relates to the technical field of gene recombination. The recombinant vector can be used to construct a recombinant Lactobacillus expressing the immunogenic protein of African swine fever virus, and after mixing the Lactobacillus solution that can secrete protein p72 and protein p54, respectively, an oral live bacterial preparation for preventing African swine fever can be prepared. The oral live bacteria preparation prepared by the disclosure can safely, effectively and quickly prevent the infection of African swine fever virus to pigs, and does not contain an immune process.
METHODS FOR PREVENTING AN IMMUNOGLOBULIN E-RELATED DISEASE
The present invention relates to a method for determining the suitability of a subject to a skin barrier restoration therapy. Further provided is a method of selecting and preventing an IgE-related disease in a subject in need thereof.
Gel delivery system for treating poultry
The present invention is directed to a method of treating poultry hatchlings in a hatchling tray. The method comprises of providing a soft gel form capable of being dispensed through a spray nozzle, providing a spray dispensing apparatus, the apparatus being capable of delivering a predetermined volume of the gel as a plurality of small beadlets through a plurality of nozzles, placing the hatchling tray containing the hatchlings beneath the nozzles of the dispensing apparatus, dispensing the predetermined volume of the soft gel containing the therapeutic agent as small beadlets into the hatchling tray and allowing the hatchlings to consume the beadlets. The present invention is also directed to a dispensing apparatus for dispensing a therapeutic agent in a soft gel into a hatchling tray of poultry hatchlings.
COMPOSITIONS FOR TREATING AND/OR PREVENTING CORONAVIRUS INFECTIONS
The disclosure provides recombinant vesicular stomatitis vims (VSV) particles, wherein the VSV glycoprotein (G) is replaced by a coronavirus spike (S) glycoprotein, or a fragment or a derivative thereof, as well as compositions, vaccines, kits, and methods for using the recombinant VSV particles. In a specific embodiment, the S glycoprotein is derived from Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) and the methods are for the treatment or prevention of a disease or disorder in a subject infected with SARS-CoV-2. In certain embodiments, the disease or disorder is COVID-19.
IMMUNOGENIC GEL COMPOSITIONS
An immunogenic gel compositions for oral administration and methods of immunizing an animal the methods including administering to the animal a therapeutically effective amount of an immunogenic gel composition comprising an antigen of an animal pathogen and a gel composition for oral administration.
Fluorocarbon-linked peptide formulation
The invention provides an aqueous acidic formulation suitable for use as in the preparation of a pharmaceutically acceptable fluorocarbon-linked peptide formulation, which aqueous formulation comprises a first fluorocarbon-linked peptide, wherein: the peptide linked to the fluorocarbon is at least 20 amino acid residues long, comprises at least 50% hydrophobic amino acid residues and has an isoelectric point greater than or equal to 7; and the fluorocarbon-linked peptide is present in micelles.
