MEMBER FOR SOLID-STATE IMAGE PICKUP DEVICE AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SOLID-STATE IMAGE PICKUP DEVICE
A member for a solid-state image pickup device having a bonding plane with no gaps and a method for manufacturing the same are provided. The manufacturing method includes the steps of providing a first substrate provided with a photoelectric converter on its primary face and a first wiring structure, providing a second substrate provided with a part of a peripheral circuit on its primary face and a second wiring structure, and performing bonding so that the first substrate, the first wiring structure, the second wiring structure, and the second substrate are disposed in this order. In addition, at least one of an upper face of the first wiring structure and an upper face of the second wiring structure has a concave portion, and a conductive material forms a bottom face of the concave portion.
PRODUCING A RIBBON OR WAFER WITH REGIONS OF LOW OXYGEN CONCENTRATION
A ribbon is formed such that the ribbon floats on a melt using a cold initializer facing an exposed surface of the melt. The ribbon is single crystal silicon. The ribbon is pulled from the silicon melt at a low angle off the melt surface. The ribbon is formed at a same rate as the pulling. The ribbon is separated from the melt at a wall of the crucible where a stable meniscus forms. The ribbon has a thickness between a first surface and an opposite second surface from 50 μm to 5 mm. The ribbon includes a first region extending a first depth from the first surface. The first region has a reduced oxygen concentration relative to a bulk of the ribbon.

Method and device for controlling an energy-generating system which can be operated with a renewable energy source
A method and a device for controlling an energy-generating system are operated with a renewable energy source. In the method, a prediction about an energy yield of the energy-generating system is made for a predefined prediction time period, and a predefined area, using a learning system with an input vector and an output vector. The output vector includes operating variables for a multiplicity of successive future times of the time period. The input vector includes variables, influencing the operating variables, for a point in time from a multiplicity of points in time of a predefined observation time period. The input variables include at least three items of information for the observation time period and the predefined area. The energy-generating system is controlled on the basis of the generated prediction such that weather-conditioned fluctuations in the energy yield of the energy-generating system are reduced.
Complementary conjugated polyelectrolyte complexes as electronic energy relays
The present invention generally relates to artificial photosystems and methods of their use, for example in artificial photosynthesis, wherein the artificial photosystems comprise one or more light-harvesting antenna (LHA) comprising a conjugated polyelectrolyte (CPE) complex (CPEC) comprising a donor CPE and an acceptor CPE, wherein the donor CPE and acceptor CPE are an electronic energy transfer (EET) donor/acceptor pair.
