Current collector for a stacked battery design
Energy storage devices, battery cells, and batteries of the present technology may include a first cell and a second cell disposed adjacent the first cell. The devices may include a stacked current collector coupled between the first cell and the second cell. The current collector may include a grid or matrix, and may include a combination of conductive and insulative materials.

A battery pack includes at least one cell assembly including a plurality of secondary batteries stacked in a direction, a module housing having an internal space in which the at least one cell assembly is received, and a spacer member interposed between the plurality of secondary batteries, and configured to press the plurality of secondary batteries in two directions to space the plurality of secondary batteries apart when a temperature of at least one of the plurality of secondary batteries is equal to or higher than a predetermined temperature.

A method for charging and/or discharging an energy store with a current I.sub.0, wherein the energy store has at least one cell block having a number J of series-connected battery cells, at least some of the battery cells of which may have different efficiencies η.sub.N, where 1≤N≤J, has the following method steps: determining the battery cell having the lowest efficiency η.sub.min, and adjusting the efficiency η.sub.N of all the other battery cells to this lowest efficiency η.sub.min such that the adjusted efficiency η.sub.N′ of the battery cells is n.sub.N′=η.sub.min.
BATTERY STATE ESTIMATION DEVICE
An object of the present invention is to provide a battery state estimation device capable of accurately estimating a deterioration state of an entire battery system in consideration of an SOH distribution of battery cells. The battery state estimation device according to the present invention estimates an SOH of a battery cell by using a correspondence between a time derivative of an output voltage during a pause period of the battery cell and a battery temperature, and estimates a deterioration state of an entire battery system by using the SOHs of a plurality of battery cells (see FIG. 1).
ENERGY STORAGE APPARATUS
An energy storage apparatus includes: a plurality of energy storage devices each including a gas release valve, the plurality of energy storage devices being arranged along a predetermined direction in a posture where the gas release valves are directed in the same direction; an exhaust portion disposed on the gas release valves of the plurality of respective energy storage devices, the exhaust portion forming an exhaust path for a gas discharged from the gas release valves; and a housing accommodating the plurality of the energy storage devices and the exhaust portion, wherein the exhaust portion includes an exhaust port portion that protrudes from the housing and forms an outlet portion of the exhaust path.
