The TIC environmental event sensor is a nickel-sized, ultra-thin circuit assembly, containing an extremely compact array of both environmental sensors and physical sensors, along with local and wireless access to all the sensor data, including BTLE & LoRa, as well as an electronic ink display for limited field access to sensor events in real time. The TIC is designed to capture changes in the sensor data in real time, and then log it for future examination. The most recent change will remain on the device's display. The changes can then be transmitted to a smart phone or tablet via BTLE, networked as an asset via LoRa, or locally scrolled at the device. At least one connector device is adapted to provide an electrical interconnection between at least two of the reflector parts. At least one connector device comprises a metallic film and one or more holding elements. The metallic film is adapted to be arranged in abutment with connecting portions of the at least two of the reflector parts to achieve the electrical interconnection. At least one of the holding elements has at least one holding portion adapted to connect to a connecting portion of a reflector part with said metallic film sandwiched therebetween. The electrical interconnection is indirect by means of a dielectric coating or layer arranged on the metallic film and/or on the connecting portions, or by means of a dielectric film arranged between the metallic film and the connecting portions.

RF system for distribution of over the air content for in-building applications

A system is described for distributing over the air (OTA) channels within buildings and homes. The system can implement one or more active multi-mode antennas for improved performance and reliability. The system can be configured as a mesh network where multiple nodes are distributed to improve the probability of channel capture across the VHF and UHF frequencies used for over the air TV distribution. A node consists of a beam steering antenna that operates at the VHF and UHF frequencies for TV signal reception, a receiver and demodulation circuit, a transcoder to convert the received information for re-distribution, and a transceiver capable of operation at a secondary frequency band for use in re-distributing the information to communication devices in proximity of the node. The secondary frequency band can be the common WLAN (Wireless Local Area Network) system such as Wi-Fi, with the Wi-Fi transceiver also containing beam steering antennas for improved in-building propagation of the re-distributed information.

The shark fin antenna includes a holder having a groove therein for exposing at least a portion of an upper surface of a printed circuit board, a first antenna unit supported by the holder and having an antenna pattern formed on a surface thereof to receive an AM/FM frequency band signal, a first auxiliary unit covering at least a portion of an upper surface of the first antenna unit, and a spring mounted in the groove to elastically support the first auxiliary unit and the first antenna unit in a vertical direction of the upper surface of the printed circuit board.
